  • We are celebrating another milestone in our journey to modernise and decarbonise industrial infrastructure in Malaysia! The successful commissioning of UAC Berhad’s revamped steam plant at the Tasek Industrial Estate, Ipoh marks a key advancement in their sustainability journey.   ENGIE has modernised UAC’s energy infrastructure within the boiler house through:  ✅ Replacing MFO boilers with more efficient and cleaner natural gas boilers ✅ Converting burners from MFO to natural gas ✅ A complete steam system overhaul, including the dismantling and installation of a new deaerator   With the newly commissioned system, ENGIE will now operate and maintain the boiler plant to ensure optimised energy consumption, reduced costs, and reliable steam generation, sustaining productivity and competitiveness for UAC Berhad.   Our collaboration with UAC began in 2018 with the optimisation of their compressed air system. Today, the revamped steam plant, which plays a critical role in UAC’s autoclaving process, is expected to achieve an annual CO2 emission reduction of 5,360 tCO₂—the equivalent of planting 90,000 trees.   The official commencement ceremony of UAC’s revamped steam plant was graced by UAC Berhad’s CEO, Mr Loon Peng Wai, and ENGIE Services Malaysia’s Managing Director, Mr Yin Kee Wong, alongside their dedicated teams.   We are proud to play a part in enhancing our clients’ business operations and their sustainability journeys.   #WithENGIE #MoU #SustainabilityInnovation
