What's the percentage of parents who delay their school fee payments? 5%? 10%? 40%? After speaking to school principals all over Malaysia, the number is closer to >40%. And that's stressful for your school's cash flow. One way to get parents pay on time? (or even early?) Bribe them. I'm serious. Give them an incentive like vouchers for school meals, book purchases, or school trip discounts. It might cost you a little extra. But it will cut down late payments by a ton. PS. "My mum's a teacher and she spends more time doing useless shits other than actually teaching and keeping up with the syllabus." – Reddit user Sadly, this is more common than you think. Apart from teaching, teachers have to... Take attendance. Attend department meetings. Chase students for overdue fees. Write class reports for the ministry. Enter student data into the school system. Necessary evil, you might say. Teachers drowning in admin tasks is like the hawker stall keep washing dishes instead of frying my char koay teow. Not productive. (And I'm still craving my plate of char koay teow...) What if you can automate or eliminate these tasks using technology? And finally have teachers focus on their core mission – teaching. Worth considering.

School Principals – What if you get "pre-paid" school fees in advance? Would you... 1. Hire 5-star teachers from another school? 2. Offer scholarships to students who need it? 3. Buy higher-resolution projectors for your classrooms? 4. Put the extra fund into a fixed deposit account for rainy days? 5. Spend more on marketing roadshows by attending more education fairs? 6. Change your accounting from a paper process to an automated software system? Which one would you pick first? Comment below. PS. : Struggling with cash flow for your school? You know the stress if you're a parent. Schools principals: Please let parents split up the school fees into monthly payments. PS: I know running a school ain't easy, especially when it comes to cash flow. So here's guide on how to get parents to pay your school fees on time. Link in comments.

Things that kill a school's cash flow: * Parents must pay at the counter. * Manual invoicing using WhatsApp. * No automated payment follow-up system. * No instalment option for cash-strapped parents. * Chasing parents to pay when they're busy at work. * No incentive for parents to pay early or pay on time. Avoid as many of these as possible. PS. Want to know how to get parents to pay your school fees on time? Get this free guide: https://lnkd.in/gdgemQxU
