BUILDING ATHENA.VC IN PUBLIC DAY 6 Does this concept make sense to you? First “Weird Al” style musical satire video. This video: - Took about 12 hours total production time - Uses an AI music method to do the satire (very effective IMO!) - Will be our theme song Intention (in order of priority): Capture attention Entertain Explain a bit about what we’re doing I won’t explain more of my intention with the video and just leave it. I truly would like your honest opinion on if the concept makes sense and advice on how it could do better. The main thing I learned from this experiment is that AU music tools are VERY good for making musical satire (with a lot of tweaking, and manual music editing - Tash and I even laid down some native vocals to make this song sound right). I’ll definitely be working with this format a lot and look forward to seeing the results on TikTok and YouTube shorts in particular. Thanks and see you at the mountaintop, Jeff #buildinpublic #athena_vc #aimusic #comedy #startups #entrepreneurship #venturecapital

Part 33: How We Got 1M+ Monthly Visitors from Google via Programmatic SEO That Made $10M+ For My Business We scaled up building links by hiring a team in the Philippines. You can also hire from Eastern Europe, or South Africa. Because the salaries are reasonable and people speak native English as good as Australia where I'm from. We pay each team member $600 to $1000 a month. We have 14 members. We put them onto the Ahrefs's content and Brian Dean's content with his link building course. They have a target to build 10 links per month. And typically, we'll send 50 emails a day, and we'll try to personalize all of them. We'll also use Ahrefs and Buzzstream or any other email campaign tool to do that. So we hired our team on Upwork and on LinkedIn. We're not looking for too much beyond just basic writing skills. I'd like to ask some standard questions like: “Hey, you're writing an outreach email to Neil Patel. And on his blog, he has an article about email finder or about finding emails. What would you write to ask the ContactOut, be included in his review of tools that find emails.” Other questions that we just ask everyone in our team, when we interview them are: “How many books did you read and what did you learn from them?” “What's the most impressive thing that you've accomplished?” Just gives a good background to how people think. And what have they learned that gives an insight into their writing. Which is reflective of the clarity of their thinking as well. — Want an inside look into our link building tracker and our actual email scripts? Next Monday, I’ll show 70k+ people the Google Sheets and emails we used. (with screen-shares and the exact step-by-step process) Want the complete exact 7-step process on how I do Programmatic SEO?   Check out my Youtube channel "Rob Liu" for the full video.
