[Press Release] Aliena secures Series A led by Wavemaker Partners to supercharge engine production and expand reach to markets globally. We are thrilled to announce our recent funding round that targets to see the expansion of the team and facility to propel our efforts in expanding our reach globally and to scale up our manufacturing and production endeavors. With the support from our stakeholders, SEEDS Capital, PASPALIS, Cap Vista Pte Ltd, NTUitive and 500 Global, we intend to emerge as the industry standard for spacecraft propulsion, starting with small satellites, and growing to meet the needs of the entire value chain. Based out of Singapore, we have an extensive reach in the region, and immense potential through ease of connectivity to serve the demands of our customers worldwide. In the coming days, we will be providing status updates on the commissioning of our Advanced Jet Propulsion Test Facility (AJPTF) - a facility more than 3 x our current size - that will host our R&D, manufacturing & production, and corporate functions. Additionally, we are stoked to be able to present our work at an array of conferences internationally - many of these papers co-authored by our collaborators from various organizations. More than 11 papers have been accepted and are in the pipeline, and we are thrilled to be given the opportunity to present our work at these platforms. Starting with the SPACE PROPULSION CONFERENCE (SPC) in Glasgow, and then the International Electric Propulsion Conference (IEPC) in Toulouse for this quarter of the year, we look forward to meeting you at our exhibition booths and talks. Our work has been supported by our local entities including the Office for Space Technology & Industry, Singapore (OSTIn), Enterprise Singapore and Nanyang Technological University Singapore - which we are a proud spin-off from. We are overjoyed to be able to celebrate this milestone with the community, and look forward to connecting so we can serve both your current and emerging mission needs! Do pop us a note at ask@aliena.sg to request for our commercial product portfolio and schedule a discussion for us to look into serving you for your next mission.

Bringing Space Closer to Home through Data from Very Low Earth Orbits
About us
ALIENA: Bringing Space closer to Home A leading Singapore-based space-tech company, aiming at providing high-resolution data to terrestrial businesses by enabling a fleet of imaging satellites to fly closer to the Earth using our proprietary electric propulsion engines. A group of highly skilled and trained experts from various fields including Plasma Physics, Space Propulsion Systems, Engineering and Business have embarked on a journey to explore new frontiers that aim to establish their place in the niche space industry. This will be done through realizing miniaturized propulsion systems and, eventually, end-to-end remote sensing services for data acquisition and analytics through a network of satellites in very low Earth Orbits (VLEO). ALIENA has fully-owned game-changing electric propulsion technology that will spearhead market creation in VLEO for small satellites. Our electric propulsion systems provide agility in space to satellite operators, access to unprecedented orbits working with constellations, and ensure a sustainable space for the generations to follow.

Counting down the days to the 9th SPACE PROPULSION CONFERENCE in Glasgow Scotland! We are just a few days away, and our team members from Aliena Pte Ltd are excited to showcase our products and service offerings at Booth #12 at the conference! Feel free to swing by our booth to explore our exhibits, download-able product portoflio, and giveaways. We look forward to giving updates and new insights on our systems on top of the talks that various members would be giving throughout the conference! We are confident that we are able to meet the needs of your space missions and R&D campaigns. Presenting just a teaser of our exhibits on display. Get the chance to get up close to our MUSIC Hall thruster - a 100 W class Hall thruster that offers performance at reduced lead times in a miniaturized form-factor. We believe that access to space propulsion systems should be a given right to satellite platforms regardless of size, and we are proud to be a part of the ecosystem in providing accessibility to such systems for a plethora of mission profiles. The MUSIC Hall thruster is also selected as the system of choice for Singapore's ELITE VLEO satellite mission, opening up orbit maintenance capabilities to a new wave of small satellite missions at drag intensive environments - specifically where performance matters, and every ounce of volume and power counts. Also on display is Hydrocat - a 5 A-class hollow cathode designed to operate alongside higher power Hall thrusters. In the exhibit at SPC 2024, feel free to explore the exact hardware that was utilized in the campaign that ignited the World's first Hall thruster that utilized byproducts of water electrolysis as fuel. Hydrocat is compatible for use with other propellant sources, and we would be happy to provide further details accordingly. Whether you are in the market sourcing for a propulsion system for an emerging demanding space mission, or if you are engaged in cutting edge R&D work - we believe we have the relevant systems and components to aid in meeting your organizational objectives! So swing on down to our booth at SPC 2024, and meet our team members, George-Cristian Potrivitu, Matteo Laterza, Kai S. KHOO, and Nunki Pontianus! We are elated to be able to meet you and discuss how we can foster longstanding partnerships in the days ahead! See you soon! #hallthruster #spacepropulsion #Singapore #SG #plasma #Aliena

Happy Labour Day to all! Yesterday, we held a staff town hall to crystallize plans for our new facility and we're excited for what's to come! At Aliena Pte Ltd, we prioritize our employees' well-being, welfare, and safety above all else. Our team members are our most valued assets, and we're committed to investing in their professional development alongside our internal R&D. During the town hall, our employees shared innovative ideas for implementing best practices as we scale up production. This is crucial work that will pave the way for our future growth and incoming team members. We're grateful for their dedication! We wrapped up the town hall with a staff lunch to commemorate Labour Day and also hosted a company trivia session, led by Suryono Ali , which focused on best WSH practices to ensure a safe working environment. Interested in joining our team? Keep an eye out for our upcoming job posts! You can also meet us at the SPACE PROPULSION Conference in Glasgow or the International Electric Propulsion Conference in Toulouse to learn more about life at Aliena and our exciting new programs. #Aliena #LabourDay #TeamFirst #SpaceTech

With the recent announcement of our Series A fund-raise awhile back, we are happy to share a sneak peek of our new facility that we are currently working on. This will eventually serve as the home to our R&D and manufacturing operations, and provide capacity for in-house testing of our emerging systems as well as qualification of our systems and components for our customers. Stay tuned for more updates! #hallthruster #electricpropulsion #vleo #smallsatellites

We are pleased to announce that we have been featured in the latest NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's State-of-the-Art Report on Small Spacecraft Technology. Our MUSIC line of systems has been documented in the Hall-effect thruster segment alongside many other notable entities in the ecosystem. With the continued proliferation of missions at VLEO, LEO and other orbits for both commercial and strategic missions, we are heartened to see Hall thrusters continuing to remain as the most widely deployed system in space for multi-mission flexibility. As we gear up for exciting announcements in the days ahead, and further engagements at International conferences throughout the year, we look forward to engagements regarding our products and offerings accordingly. Do contact us at ask@aliena.sg with regards to queries on our systems, and we would be most happy to schedule a call to present a detailed overview on our commercial products, and other services on offer to meet your mission requirements. https://lnkd.in/gNZ7mFqF
