This festive season, we’re heartened to continue our tradition of prioritising sustainable practices and mindful consumption across #AIASG. Some highlights of our celebrations: 🎁 Festive hampers were awarded to winning AIA teams who participated in a Christmas Decoration contest, showcasing how creative recycling and repurposing can make for wonderful décor 🧣 A clothes swap with The Fashion Pulpit, Singapore's first and largest clothes swap platform, and workshops on sustainable gifting to promote conscious consumption 🌱 Grobrix introduced urban farming, sharing tips on growing edible plants and greening our workspace 🖌️ A local art group delighted staff with hand-drawn manga-style portraits 🤳"Gnomes on the Roam!" The third AIA One Billion Trail took place recently against the stunning landscapes of Chiang Mai, Thailand, bringing together 300 teams from across Asia to support a meaningful cause.    Representing AIA Singapore, Team Fantastic 4 – Timothy Tan, Sheila Lam, FSA, CFA, CERA, Ian Lau, and Chun Liang Lee – took on the 25km race with grit and determination! 💪   Team Fantastic 4’s Accomplishments: 🏅 Team Rank: 20th out of 59 teams 🏅 Category Rank (Mixed Team): 11th out of 36 teams ⏱️ Finishing Time: 6 hours and 54 minutes   Team Fantastic 4 has also secured the second-highest donation total for the Thai Red Cross! Their contribution will support the Thai Red Cross Society's literacy empowerment projects, helping uplift communities in need. Over the past three years, the AIA One Billion Trail has raised more than 10 million baht for this important cause.   This event forms part of our AIA One Billion initiative – our bold ambition to inspire one billion people to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives by 2030. 🌟   Congratulations to Team Fantastic 4 for showcasing the spirit of determination and teamwork while representing AIA Singapore! 🏋️♀️ From Legal Briefs to Fitness Feats: AIA’s Legal Team Wins at Hyrox Hong Kong 2024! 🏆 We are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by members of our AIA family! A team of legal professionals from AIA Singapore, AIA Hong Kong, and the AIA Group Office joined forces to compete in the Hyrox Hong Kong 2024 Corporate Relay featuring 8 challenging exercises, interspersed with a 1 km run– and emerged victorious in their category! 🎉 Led by Penny Koo, Winnie Chung, Belinda Leung, and Patty Ho proved that fitness, teamwork, and determination know no bounds. Interestingly, all 4 members trained for Hyrox with different focuses in mind: 🏋️♀️Penny overcame an Achilles injury with tailored training to stay competition-ready. 🏋️♀️ Belinda focused on strength and running with a personal trainer. 🏋️♀️Winnie leveraged her boxing and cardio expertise while tackling new challenges like rowing and skiing. 🏋️♀️Patty trained with AIA's Running Club and adapted her endurance skills to explosive movements like burpees. Teamwork makes the dream work. These strong and resilient ladies hope to inspire others to live our AIA promise of Healthier, Longer, Better Lives and prove it’s never too late to try something new.
