  • Baltic Sustainability Awards co-founded by Rimi Baltic, is an event where sustainability stakeholders gather to share experiences and discuss challenges. We explore how businesses, startups, governments, NGOs, municipalities, and other parties can collaborate to drive positive change. This year, we were happy to join the CEO Roundtable with Valdis Turlais, CMD of #RimiLatvia. Additionally, Kerstin Lindvall ♦️, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer of our mother company ICA Gruppen, shared insights into how sustainability trends are evolving in the Swedish market. We also engaged in discussions on sustainable supply chain and participated in the CSR Latvia discussion led by Agnese Alksne-Bensone . Every step, from responsible supply chains to changes in daily consumption habits, plays a crucial role in sustainability. "The event not only celebrates achievements in sustainability but also inspires companies and individuals to make more environmentally conscious choices and create a sustainable future for generations to come. We are here to make this change happen," emphasizes Zanda Sadre Šadre, Corporate Sustainability and Compliance Director at Rimi Baltic.

  • Rimi customers are now able to see the #CarbonFootprint of milk and egg products in e-commerce 🌍 To achieve even more positive changes in environmental #Sustainability and to implement the Science Based Targets (SBT), Rimi Baltic together with the Swedish climate intelligence platform Carbon Cloud has launched an innovation pilot project in all Rimi e-stores across the Baltic, where dairy and egg products are accompanied by information on their CO₂ footprint. "The CO₂ footprint provides information to help make greener choices - now every egg and dairy shopper can see the CO₂ impact of their purchases, just like checking the sugar or fat content of a product. This helps to make more sustainable choices," explains Zanda Sadre, Corporate Responsibility Director at Rimi Baltic. 👉 Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/d9sCc8by

  • One of Rimi's traditions is celebrating our colleagues who have worked with Rimi for over 20 years! ❤️ Last week, we invited 103 Rimi colleagues -  101 of whom joined Rimi 20 years ago, while two can be proud of 30 years of work experience. Such a long time spent brings expertise and knowledge that we are very thankful and proud to have. "Today, we celebrate over two decades of dedication, friendship, and hard work. Our colleagues, with their 20 and 30-year loyalty, are the heart of Rimi. Their commitment has shaped our company culture and driven our success. It's an honour to work alongside such a dedicated team,” said CMD of #RimiLatvia Valdis Turlais in his opening speech. These years are not only the company's achievement, but also people's stories – about work, cooperation, friendship, and how everyone contributes their part to the great journey that shapes Rimi daily!

  • Solar panel park has been created on Rimi Latvia's logistics centre at A. Deglava Street 161 in Riga, Latvia, continuing the multi-million investment and modernization projects that began three years ago. 🏭 Over the past three years, Rimi's logistics centre has implemented environmentally friendly, sustainable, and efficient solutions. These initiatives include the establishment of a centralized kitchen, an automated goods picking system, and automated guided vehicles, known as robots Tom and Jerry. 🔋"The development of the solar energy park aligns with Rimi's broader goal of greener management and environmental impact reduction.
