🌊 The Ocean Narratives Challenge: A Milestone Year! 🌊 This year, we were thrilled to launch the Ocean Narratives Challenge in Jersey for the first time! Thanks to funding from the Jersey Community Foundation (JCF), we partnered with Les Quennevais School to inspire young minds to use storytelling as a tool for marine conservation. The challenge went incredibly well, with over 100 entries, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to run it again next year. In 2025, we are excited to create even more impact by partnering with additional local schools and making the challenge available globally through our OCL platform. Secondary schools can begin encouraging their students to take part when we officially launch the programme in January. Last night was the 20th anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami at the unesco headquarter in Paris with the IOC unesco. UNESCO/IOC Project Office for IODE UNESCO-IOC CoastWAVE Project UNESCO In June i shared a very special moment at the photo shoot of Unesco OCL @oceanculturelife Nautilus Nautilus Magazine invited by Vinicius Lindoso Tamsin Raine & Matt Porteous. I feel that day has shaped my views on tsunamis with a complete new perspective. I feel very honored having had this opportunity. Listening and learning from tsunamis survivors hits you on a completely different emotional level. Last night was the presentation of the shoot and many more stories from survivors and experts and I feel very deeply thankful for such an insightful, intense, emotional evening. Thank you for everyone who shared their stories and expertise and while most of the evening was emotionally charged I’m grateful for the fun selfie as a memory for a very special journey we shared.
