Following a ceremony it is customary for mourners to gather together for a wake to reminisce and celebrate a life well-lived. The law relating to cremation requires that ashes are disposed of in accordance with the written instruction of the applicant (the executor or nearest surviving relative). There are a range of options on offer including: burial at Jersey crematorium, collected by Funeral Director on behalf of the family so that you can then scatter them at a chosen place, inter at family grave/cemetery or on private ground (with permission) or scatter at sea.
