In the build-up to the festive season, numerous members of the Lysaght staff took part in the 2024 Santa Dash through the streets of St Helier in aid of Jersey Hospice. Despite the grey skies and cool weather, the staff donned their colourful outfits and joined several hundred other runners and walkers in this fun and worthwhile charity event.

We here at Lysaght were very pleased to sponsor this fantastic event, by buying the gifts which were distributed to families across the island. It sounds like it was a great event, which embodied the true meaning of Christmas. https://lnkd.in/eHjeSsiP
We owe a heartfelt thanks to Ophelia, our incredible pocket rocket, her amazing friends and parents from Year 2, Yvonne Corbin and her team at Caring Cooks for the support, This event was a true community effort, their dedication and hard work were nothing short of inspiring. These children, along with Ophelia, spent countless hours planning and preparing, bringing their energy and creativity to every aspect of the day. Their efforts not only made the event a success but also brought joy to so many families. We are so proud of and grateful for their wonderful contributions! We were thrilled to welcome 110 families to Chateau Vermont for Ophelia’s Jungle and Mingle Market, where 81 children enjoyed a special visit with Santa and received a gift. The event raised an incredible £1,300 for the Food and Fuel Scheme, supporting families in need. Guests were treated to music from the talented students of the Popular School of Music and enjoyed teas and coffees provided by JJ Fox, along with mince pies from Waitrose. All children received advent calendars generously donated by Jersey Electricity. Homemade cakes were lovingly contributed by members of the public and Gabor and the team at The Wise Owl and the wonderfuk team at GR8 Employment Services & Training Limited A heartfelt thanks goes to DeCarteret Wealth, Cherry Godfrey, Colléens Café, The Sheep Shed, Hotel de France, Dolan Hotels, Marks & Spencer, Randalls, Homenet, The Merton, La Colette, Align Health, Rebecca Taylor Yoga, Pizza Box, Fresha Lashes, Station Café, and Penny Byrne for their incredible raffle prize donations. This generosity helped make the event a resounding success while spreading joy throughout the community.

Myanmar’s long-awaited Patent Law 2019 came into effect earlier this year. Finally, on 31 October 2024, Myanmar's Intellectual Property Department (IPD) officially begun to accept new patent and utility model applications. This important development finally enables patent applicants to benefit from a substantive patent protection system in Myanmar, with the implementation of the new law replacing the primitive “cautionary notice” system for the first time. https://lnkd.in/erGdqUEp
