It was great to take some time out to focus “on” the business at the Jersey Business productivity conference last week. Jim Lawless delivered an amazing keynote that we can’t stop thinking about! Some key things we took away are: ✨ be a creator not a waiter - CREATE the change, don’t just wait until something is so painful you HAVE to change ✨ YOU HOLD THE PEN - no one else is in control of the next steps ✨ change starts in the calendar ✨ do the basics brilliantly ✨ do something scary everyday ✨ set yourself a bet and commit to completion ✨ get comfortable with feeling discomfort As a business on our own growth journey, we could resonate heavily with a lot of this! We were also thrilled to be invited to deliver a workshop in the afternoon on capital investments. We covered a proven method businesses can implement to give them confidence spending money (in the right way) and appraising options.
