📶 Data runs on #water, but to what extent? ⚡A single megawatt of data centre energy can consume 26 million litres of water annually. As the backbone of our digital lives, data centres face a critical challenge: balancing growing demand with environmental responsibility. 💧Water consumption in the data centre sector is projected to grow 52% by 2030, reaching 94 million m³! 💰Switching entirely from water-intensive cooling - currently accounting for 20% of total cooling - to innovative adiabatic cooling could save €260 million per year in the EU. 📊 Frameworks like the #Energy Efficiency Directive and eco-design regulations to reduce the water and energy footprint of data centers. 🔵The future is clear: The flow of data depends on the flow of water.
