As part of our commitment to giving back to our #community, we are proud to support a project promoting social inclusion, led by the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation in collaboration with the international MUS-E® Network. This initiative, developed in Belgium, Portugal, Italy and Cyprus, brings children from different nationalities together in a choir to sing the beautiful ‘Ode to Joy’. The aim is to help children experience the joy of #diversity and #unity through #music. We will share more updates next year. Stay tuned! 🎥 Watch the video 👉 https://lnkd.in/dr9C9S_B 🔎 Find out more about the Foundation 👉 https://lnkd.in/dyYQVx2U #UNESDAsupports

Today, the Council of the European Union has formally adopted the #EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (#PPWR), following the European Parliament’s validation at the end of November. This is a significant milestone in the EU’s efforts to accelerate the transition towards a #CircularEconomy. Yet, this is not the end of the process and the European Commission now needs to invest energy and resources in the next, even more crucial phase: developing the necessary implementation measures that enable the industry to prepare for compliance. To succeed, the industry needs sufficient preparation time and clear rules. We are committed to working with policymakers to ensure the smooth and qualitative development of the secondary legislation necessary to the proper implementation of the text. 🔎 Discover more about our #CircularPackaging commitments 👉 https://lnkd.in/dV6QSeV5

Spreading kindness is always a force for good. ♥️ This week, UNESDA was thrilled to join FoodDrinkEurope's event to raise funds for the #BrusselsFoodBank to support those in need. It was wonderful to reunite with our colleagues from the food and #drink industry for such a noble cause. Plus, we had lots of fun! Kudos to FoodDrinkEurope for this incredible opportunity to #giveback to our community. 👏

Excited to follow the #EUAgriFoodDays, a great initiative from the European Commission to discuss and co-create the future of #EU #agriculture and #food. Looking forward to engaging in discussions and contributing to shaping the EU’s #agrifood future around a vision that: 🔹 ensures evidence-based and non-discriminatory #food policies, supporting safe ingredients, such as low/no-calorie #sweeteners, and enabling food #innovation, especially in relation to #SugarReduction 🔹 provides up-to-date and reliable EU food and #drink consumption data to better understand what Europeans consume and what interventions can be effective 🔹 recognises voluntary initiatives, such as those taken under the #EUCodeOfConduct on Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices, as effective tools for driving broader positive change 🔎 Find out more in our Manifesto 👉 https://lnkd.in/dc9FhJgU 🎥 Watch the event live (10-12 December 2024) here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dkg_xHZG Christophe Hansen
