📌 Topic: PsycEvent - The added value of psychometric instruments in Human Resources. This is an event organized by Applied Psychology of Thomas More in Antwerp; Cebir - Psychometrics made easy, which offers a state-of-the-art psychometric test platform for selection and career development; and NeHRa, a network of women active in Human Resources-related fields. All HR professionals working in talent acquisition and career development, and all people interested in measuring mental and psychological processes are welcome. 🔍 What: As an HR Business Partner or HR Consultant, you are regularly asked to present candidates with competencies you cannot directly assess in an interview: think of working accurately, spatial insight, but also abstract reasoning skills, customer-friendliness or adaptability. So how can you evaluate these skills? As a job applicant, you are regularly invited to take a cognitive test when you apply for a job. Why is that so? This engaging lecture will take you through the story of psychometric instruments. What is their purpose, what added value do they bring in the context of selection and career development, and what are their limits?A sneak peek? Here, you can take a new reasoning test and a questionnaire on work attitude, free of charge. Afterwards, you will automatically receive a report comparing your results with a norm group, namely people with a professional bachelor's degree. If you would like feedback on this, you may contact Claire Bossaert by email (claire.bossaert@thomasmore.be). Through your participation you will also be contributing to a unique psychometric study by Thomas More's People & Well-Being Research Group and the Cebir test developer. Participation takes about 30 minutes. Your results will only be used anonymously in the context of the study (i.e. without your name). They are only available to Thomas More researchers in collaboration with Cebir for the duration of the study. You can register for the test session in Dutch via https://lnkd.in/eJN-R_mh You can register for the test session in English via https://lnkd.in/eJN-R_mh You can register for the test session in French via https://lnkd.in/eJN-R_mh 🎤 Who: Sophie De Grauwe, Ph.D. in Psycholinguistics at Radboud University Nijmegen, Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour.
