We are glad to announce the kick-off of our CETPartnership RESTORE project with partners OWI Science for Fuels gGmbH, UMONS and University of Groningen. RESTORE will focus on the development on a ultra efficient CHP system based on a hybridization of a micro gas turbine and SOFC fuel cell to convert industry off or "dirty" gas into useful electricity and heat, while allowing for easy carbon capturing from the system exhaust gas stream. The project will contribute to the reduction of GHG emissions in industry by more electrification and carbon capturing. The Clean Energy Transition Partnership ( CETPartnership ) is a transnational initiative on joint Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) programming to boost and accelerate the energy transition, building upon regional and national RTDI funding programmes. A significant milestone for #Mitis! Yesterday, in São Paulo, as part of the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil (#BEmissionBRA), we signed a Letter of Intent with our Brazilian partner #ETAGE to manufacture and commercialize our micro-10 flameless micro gas turbine in Brazil and beyond. The micro-10 features several patented technologies from MITIS, including flameless combustion for ultra-low NOx emissions, multi-fuel capabilities, and our compact turbogenerator utilizing specially designed aerodynamic airfoil bearings for enhanced durability, reliability, and extended maintenance intervals. This versatile solution is ideal for combined heat and power applications, particularly with renewable fuels like biogas, bioethanol, biodiesel, and their blends – all of which are widely available in Brazil.
