As #psychedelics like psilocybin gain attention in mental health, most clinical trials are focused on a typical white, middle-class population. This raises questions about cultural sensitivity and inclusivity: are psychedelics truly suitable for everyone? Join Prof. Sara Tai & Dr. Joanna Moncrieff as they discuss: 🔹 The gap in research & lack of diverse trial participants 🔹 Cultural & religious considerations in psychedelic therapy 🔹 The need for further research to ensure inclusivity & safety This is just the beginning—there's so much more to uncover. On #InternationalMigrantsDay, we recognise the integral role of migration in creating inclusive societies. Yet, migration policies are not racially neutral — they shape who can access citizenship, residence, and employment, often leaving racialised communities with undocumented or precarious statuses. 📑 Our latest report, "The mental health impacts of racial discrimination: The misunderstood challenges and how to respond," sheds light on how racism and discrimination are key determinants of #mentalhealth for migrants and offers recommendations for the EU and Member States to implement policies that combat discrimination and promote equality.
