Beyond collaboration, the key to respond to deficiencies in the offers of circular materials lies in enabling large scale supply. And that's a completely other story than writing down information about potentially reusable materials. To be frank, most of the current #inventories won't serve the needs of the value chain. We need to go beyond and take advantage of a #data_driven approach. Leveraging #structured_material_data can unlock the potential of analysis, therefore unlocking the potential of increasing the #circularity_rate of projects. Reusing few tiles is great but what's even better, is to be able to run an #urban_mining scan, to maximise the matchmaking process. 🤝 #Circularity? Whose responsibility is that? This is a question we get often, and while there are several responses to it, we believe #collaboration is, in fact, the key. In the journey toward a sustainable future, no single player can go it alone. The circular construction #valuechain —as #fragmented as it might be—requires a coordinated effort at every stage. Each role brings unique insights and expertise that, when combined, create powerful solutions to today’s environmental challenges. But are current #tools truly tailored for the specific needs of circular construction project management? Can circularity be achieved with unstructured files and scattered communication? We don’t think so. This is why a collaborative approach has been a driving force at #Imperfect, inspiring us to deliver a relevant, purposeful, and practical tool. How can we open the urban transition market to get private sector participation through public-private partnerships and financial incentives? Together with other Urban Doers, Mahdi Elahi, Co-funder at Imperfect, and Léa Raymakers, Team Leader at Groupe One, discussed this question to develop one of 12 policy recommendations. 🌍 A full day for Imperfect! Last week, we had the opportunity to showcase our solution for #circular_construction at two major events! 🚀 In the morning, we were at the Meet up of Circular Construction Stakeholders hosted by Brussels Environment, where we highlighted the impact of an accessible and #efficient_tool for circular construction and reclaiming materials ♻️. It was inspiring to learn about ongoing initiatives and encouraging to see an increasing focus on practical tools that facilitate circularity. Later in the day, we headed to Antwerp for the RecAp - Resilient Cities Accelerator Program Summer Summit 2024, where we discussed the power of #digital_material_passports with leaders shaping the future of urban resilience and the built environment 🏙️. The enthusiasm for sustainability and circularity automation was palpable. Enjoyed the insightful talks on the latest trends and the collaboration between startups and corporates! 👏 Looking forward to new collaborations and partnerships! 💡
