  • 📣 We are excited to announce the release of our "Study on the Situation of Craft Professions Involved in Safeguarding Built Heritage". This study presents the results of the Europe-wide survey conducted by FRH Europe and Mad'in Europe during the European Year of Skills 2023/24, which aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the situation of crafts professions in terms of education, certification, practice and transmission to new generations. Our survey had three key target groups, 1️⃣ craft professionals working in the context of built heritage; 2️⃣ architects, conservators and owners of historic buildings; 3️⃣ and educational institutions offering craft training. The final document not only analyses the challenges, threats and opportunities facing each of the targeted groups but also presents a series of actionable recommendations to foster collaboration among several actors and develop long-term strategies for preserving crafts for future generations. The webinar showcased initiatives implemented for and by young people in Guatemala, Yemen, Italy and crossborder organisations 🌎 🤝 to foster connections between people from different cultural and religious backgrounds. Lilian, who shared the music concert series "Caminos que nos Unen" (Roads that Unite Us) as a successful example of interfaith cooperation, concluded: "I was very impressed by all these presentations which show us that dialogue is about understanding where the other is coming from, and respect religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds, even if sometimes we may not agree on some questions". #CulturalHeritage #ReligiousHeritage #FutureforReligiousHeritage #KAICIID
