About us
Founded in 1936 in Antwerp, BELGIUM, the Brussels based company FIB BELGIUM SA (previously Le Four Industriel Belge) is a designer of industrial furnaces for various sectors mainly in the field of steel wire but is also supplying heating equipments to glass, ceramic, heat treatment and non ferrous industries. The FIB core business are equipments used to process steel wires where the company is a world-wide leading supplier that frequently receives the number one label. The range of products in this field includes batch heat treatment installations and continuous lines for patenting lines, annealing, galvanizing and oil tempered wires. Wires processed on these installations will become tire cord, spring, lift and crane cables, dry clean hangers, nails, piano wire, staples to mention just a few end products. Within that framework, FIB is a major supplier to many famous companies such as Bekaert, Pirelli, Goodyear, Kiswire and Sumitomo amongst at least 200 customers located in more than 60 countries, most of them are long-term customers who not only have one but several FIB installations. FIB Belgium design as well pieces hot dip galvanizing furnaces where the focus is made on mitigate the CO2 emissions.

Within the framework of a Belgian economic mission to Brazil presided by Her Highness Princess Astrid and hosting 400 participants, our CEO René Branders had the honor as President of FEB (Federation of Enterprises in Belgium),to be guest speaker at the FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State Sao Paulo) lunch. He pointed out the strong points of the cooperation between Belgium and Brazil and reminded of the importance for the Belgian economy of the EU-Mercosur Agreement.

Before the lunch, during a restricted meeting with the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗦𝗣, 𝗠𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗮, 𝗛𝗥𝗛 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗺 𝗱𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹”. In the afternoon, the whole delegation flew to Rio de Janeiro where the 2nd part of the mission will continue on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 November. Safety and prevention first: 2 pillars in the design of our equipment! As every year, FIB Belgium, with its safety committee, has worked on the planification of safety and wellness actions to be tackled internally in 2025. Safety and prevention: 2 pillars that are also part of the design of all equipment that is designed by our team. As a matter of fact, making a good product is possible only when the operators are feeling themselves in safe conditions! And it goes further even with the dismounting or the maintenance of the equipment: who knows for instance that the roof of an open fired furnace made of ceramic fibre is requiring dismounting conditions for the workers like handling asbestos? Those values are so often neglected by many equipment suppliers focusing only on “low costs views” and it is not the first time that FIB Belgium saw “poorly designed equipment” that exploded or created terrible hazardous conditions! Choosing the FIB Belgium solutions also means offering your staff safe working conditions.
