Yesterday evening, DGA Public Affairs - Belgium had the pleasure of welcoming Fred Cauderlier (former spokesperson of Charles Michel) and François Bailly (former spokesperson of Alexander De Croo) for an interesting debate on the challenges of political communication. They reflected on and shared insights from their time in the inner circle of the Belgian Prime Minister. Some key points we will remember: 💡 There is 5% of the information already known - 5% that cannot be known - The spokesperson can work with 90% of the information to give the press bits and pieces. 💡 The Prime Minister is not there to complete an oral exam during an interview but to give a message. Above that, a live interview is always better than a prerecorded one. 💡 Sometimes, we should remember to congratulate our Prime Ministers too – they usually only get called when there's something to complain about! 😉 Many thanks to our speakers for the insightful evening and Adrien de Marneffe for moderating the conversation. Yesterday, part of our team had the pleasure of attending the 9th Belgian Corporate Communication Summit organized by C SQUARE THE CORP COMM COMMUNITY 🎉 The event allowed us to explore generational divides, digitalization, and polarization. Keynote speeches by Herman Konings and Julien De Wit provided valuable insight into adapting communications strategies for Generation Z and Alpha, with a focus on authenticity and the challenges of a digital-first approach.
