As CropLife International's President and CEO Emily Rees notes, "This is the clearest of signals that upholding free-trade agreements delivers the stability needed for innovation to flourish and to anchor our food security. I applaud the U.S. and Canadian Governments for taking steps to ensure that the commitments and obligations under free-trade agreements are upheld and look forward to a resumption of access for all parties to the agricultural innovations so crucial to lives and livelihoods alike.” CropLife International, the trade association representing the plant science industry, today voiced its support for the outcome of the United States-Mexico-Canada free-trade agreement (USMCA) dispute settlement process in which Mexico is formally requested to repeal its Decree prohibiting the use or import of GM corn.

Did you know that farmers can use digital technologies and data analysis to reduce environmental impact and boost crop yields? Precision farming improves efficiency by applying the right inputs – water, fertilizer, and pesticides – in the right amounts, at the right times. Examples include: 🛰️ Using remote sensing, satellites, and GPS mapping to monitor crop and soil health and field variability. 🌾 Adjusting the rate of inputs – seeds, fertilizers, and water – according to the specific needs or different areas within a field. 🫛 Collecting data and applying machine learning to predict optimal planting, watering, and harvesting times. 🚜 Using autonomous equipment such as drones to apply water and fertilizers and manage fields with high precision and accuracy. Precision farming is a smart way to protect biodiversity and feed the world sustainably. Learn more 👉 https://lnkd.in/euYqHYv8 #SideWithFoodSecurity #PickASide #PrecisionFarming
