Back from #PCRLV, few takeaways about structural mitral regurgitation! #TEER is everywhere, in plenary session, live cases, simulation sessions, updates about clinical trials, optimal septal puncture, hands on but… TEER is not an optimal solution for many patients! We all agree. How do we treat complex cases of structural mitral regurgitation ? Patients with wide prolapse, multi-jets prolapse, bi-leaflet prolapse, leaflet billowing, Barlow disease, dilated annulus… Replacement technologies can play a role, progress is still slow. Will a #TMVR solution be soon available ? Will it be adopted broadly ? For secondary MR, primary MR, both? Who knows? In structural mitral regurgitation, repair is, or should be preferred, but here again, what new technologies, when and for what profiles of patients? We have seen nice evolutions of #TMVr projects, #HalfMoon, #VesaliusCardiovascular, #Butterfly… Congratulations 🎉 Many bright ideas 💡 and projects but a very long valley of death ☠️ to cross. #MithraX, our disruptive TMVr will play a big role. Impatient to move forward, impatient to reach milestones, impatient to bring a new tool to cardiologists, a new hope for thousands of patients. #PCRLV is THE event for structural heart ❤️.
