Congratulations to Vejdirektoratet for reaching another key step in the Storstrøm Bridge: the final girder element is now installed and the bridge (3,832 m long between Vordingborg and Orehoved) is landlocked from coast to coast. This project is proudly supported by #CEFTransport!

Parisian taxis are helping improve the air quality by driving hydrogen-fuelled cars 🚗 During the 2024 Summer Olympics, the hydrogen refuelling stations supported taxis and other vehicles, contributing to more sustainable transport throughout the city. This project is part of a larger initiative to expand hydrogen infrastructure, focusing on supporting the growing adoption of hydrogen-powered vehicles, especially within taxi fleets. The aim is to have at least 5% of the fleet made up of zero-emission vehicles, which equates to about 2500 hydrogen-powered taxis on the road. The tramway extension project in Marseille received €115 million in #EU support and is part of a broader investment programme launched by Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence. It will: 🚋 Extend the North-South tramway line of Marseille by 6.2 km 🚃 Construct storage, maintenance site & technical buildings 🚊 Carry out landscape works around the infrastructure & new tramway stations The project will help passengers save time, reduce road congestion, reduce CO2 emissions, and improve accessibility in the city. It will also create around 75 jobs. The total budget of the project is €320 million, which includes a grant of €15 million from the EU's Public Sector Loan Facility and a loan worth €100 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB). #CEFTransport created a more efficient maritime link between Helsinki & Tallinn ⛴️ The #EU funded project: ✔️ Constructed new terminals, ramps, lengthened piers, land reclamation, auto-mooring systems, gate operation systems as well as port reception facilities for sewage. ✔️ Built new connection roads (including bridges and tunnels) to the ports, construction of the multimodal transport hubs and gate systems for check-in services and improvements of security systems. ✔️ Retrofitting a ferry so that it could run by using Liquefied Natural Gas as a fuel and by installing onshore power supply systems on the quays and on vessels.
