What an amazing first day! As Day 1 of #RSNA2024 opened, our booth flourished with activity – and we are still going! AGFA HealthCare has seen an unprecedented amount of engagement on the first day – we are all set for our best #RSNA yet! The AGFA HealthCare booth was a hive of discussion – we welcomed customers and new faces from all over the world and were delighted to see the appetite for next-generation #EnterpriseImaging developments. #Radiology pioneers visit this prestigious event each year to see excellent standards of clinical panels and cutting-edge technology – and we are only happy to support them on this discovery. Also today, we saw Chief Technology Officer Dan Brown take part in the RSNA Corporate Donor Reception, as opened by Chair of Board of Trustees for RSNA R&E Foundation Satoshi Minoshima, MD, PhD. 🟢🔵 Now is the time to anchor Europe’s Green Hydrogen Future!   We advocate for robust resilience criteria in the upcoming auction rounds of the European Hydrogen Bank and other public funding instruments. 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 and the Hydrogen Bank auction by the European Commission is an excellent financial instrument to accelerate the introduction of RFNBO hydrogen. The European industry has been investing for decades in developing green hydrogen technologies, and players such as Agfa have been able to develop innovative world-class products, benefiting from regional (Flemish), national (Belgian), and European funding (Horizon, Innovation Fund). 𝐀 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 capacities has begun. The time is now for Europe to support and enhance its manufacturing capacity of electrolyser technologies at a large scale to ensure strategic autonomy, efficiency, and continued innovation. How can this be achieved? 👉 The European Commission should enforce resilience and pre-qualification criteria for core electrolysis production processes. We argue that, in order to qualify for Hydrogen Bank funding, electrolyser assembly has to happen within Europe. In addition, strategic electrolyser components, such as membranes and electrodes, should be sourced within Europe as these are critical for safe and efficient operation.
