For me, that means being a pro bono advisor for start-ups in the Birdhouse accelerator. Lendocare is on a mission to revolutionize the rental market for medical equipment—starting with wheelchairs. Solomia is nothing short of brilliant: an operational excellence wizard with the determination to make a real impact on people with medical needs. What stands out most? Her ability to balance self-confidence with vulnerability, creating room for growth and innovation. Because here’s the secret sauce to get the most out of Birdhouse: Founders who stay curious, question themselves, and remain open to learning will always thrive. Solomia is living proof. People often ask me, “Yes, but what do yoù get out of it?” Well… where do I start? ✨ It broadens my perspective. ✨ It throws me into fascinating new industries. ✨ It keeps me on my toes with the latest tech and trends. ✨ It inspires me with the raw, unstoppable energy of entrepreneurs. Plus, being part of Birdhouse connects me with other mentors and advisors—seasoned leaders with complementary profiles and unique perspectives. After several Physical Deep-Dives and an inspiring jury week, we loved our time at Brain Embassy Antwerp so much that we decided to stay! 🏢 We’ve officially moved & are now located in the heart of Stad Antwerpen! 📍 This vibrant, collaborative space is the perfect setting to support Tech startups based in Belgium and AgeTech startups from all over Europe, as they scale and grow. Recently, I had the pleasure of joining Birdhouse’s first deep-dive workshop with Cohort 16, where I worked with the startups to challenge and refine their approach to product-market fit. It’s always rewarding to guide founders as they navigate this crucial phase of their journey. What impressed me most was the creativity these founders bring to solving real-world problems, along with their openness to learning and adapting. This mindset is key to turning a great idea into a truly scalable business. During the sessions, we focused on the importance of achieving product-market fit - a critical step for effectively channeling time, energy, and resources while avoiding unnecessary frustration. Striking the right balance between the ‘product’ and the ‘market’ is often challenging, which makes a strong, complementary founders’ team indispensable. It was inspiring to see the passion and drive in this group of founders, and I’m confident they have what it takes to make a real impact. A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of joining Birdhouse for a deep-dive session with the founders of Cohort 16. The energy and ambition in the room were contagious, and it was inspiring to see how these startups are tackling their challenges with such drive.   One key topic we explored was product-market fit – a cornerstone for any successful business. It all starts with a clear vision and mission. Without these, it’s easy to lose focus. Helping these founders navigate those decisions felt incredibly rewarding.   Sharing experiences with entrepreneurs always brings me a sense of fulfillment. It’s not about telling them what to do but guiding them in how to approach it. By helping them make sharper choices, we aim to accelerate their journey and avoid unnecessary pitfalls.   Having been part of Birdhouse since its early days, it’s amazing to see how the program itself has evolved and grown over the years. From supporting founders in those first steps to building a thriving community of ambitious entrepreneurs, Birdhouse continues to make a real impact.
