“#Leadership isn’t about what you achieve—it’s about what you enable OTHERS to achieve.” We are honored to celebrate Stephen S.'s servant leadership and unwavering commitment to our YPO community. His dedication to fostering growth, creating meaningful impact, and empowering others embodies the true essence of leadership. Thank you, Stephen, you not only inspire those around you but also strengthen our community and its shared mission of purposeful leadership. Together, we create change that matters.
Why I Choose to Be a Servant Leader and Volunteer for YPO Leadership is not about titles, ego or authority. (Hopefully that statement isn’t new to you….) It’s about service. For me, being a servant leader means putting others first, fostering growth, and creating meaningful impact. This philosophy is why I dedicate my time and energy to volunteering for roles within YPO. YPO is more than a network; it’s a community of leaders united by a shared commitment to learning, collaboration, and transformation. Volunteering here gives us the opportunity to serve alongside exceptional individuals who inspire me daily. Whether it’s organizing impactful events, mentoring emerging leaders, or helping navigate complex challenges, every moment spent in service reinforces the values I hold dear. We strive to lead by example, listen with intention, and create spaces where everyone feels empowered to thrive. The rewards are immeasurable—personal growth, lifelong connections, and the privilege of contributing to something greater than ourselves. Leadership isn’t about what you achieve—it’s about what you enable others to achieve. I am grateful to YPO for allowing me to live out this belief and for the chance to grow alongside a community of purpose-driven leaders. To my YPO Champions: thank you for the trust, collaboration, and inspiration. Together, we create change that matters. If your not in a executive role, I hope this inspires you to put your hand up to serve. To my non YPO peers: I urge you to step out of your comfort zone and volunteer your time to help an organisation thrive. Serve for the love of it, for how it feels. Not for any other reason. #YPOGlobal #Leadershipmatters #YPO #YPOANZ #onlyinypo #betterleadersbetterpeople #ServantLeadership #GrowthThroughService Sofyan Almoayed, Raymond Watt, Alan Marash, Mauro Arcucci
