The day started with a memorable Welcome to Country from Robyn Collard & Tryse Rioli, followed by a welcome address by the Hon Roger Cook MLA, and Stephen Dawson, and a heartfelt welcome to the City of Perth from Basil Zempilas. The morning keynotes included Damian Kassabgi from the Tech Council of Australia, Grace Brown & Abi. 🎤 West Tech Coast Speakers! 🎤 Huge thank you to all our Coast speakers and Stephen Dawson MLA for kickstarting this vibrant, unique event. Linzi Boyd opened the stage! highlighting the importance of purpose in driving the economy of green innovation. We then dived straight into coral preservation and conservation with Dr Dr. Dean Miller - covering all the incredible work being done to create the largest living coral bio-bank on the planet. The day was interspersed with terrific panel discussions, combining influential voices to discuss huge topics surrounding the sustainable tech space. A panel highlight was 'Profit vs People: The Power of Impact Investing' with Olivia Brooks, 🌱🤝🌍 Nicolas Sauvage, Bill Tai and Nicole Johnny, MBA - where they spoke on challenging the market, what commercial success looks like, and how we can create conversations to create awareness. Moving into the afternoon, Daphne de Jong took to the stage to discuss 'Building the Future: The Path to Monetising Climate Innovation'. The final highlight was the discussion around 'Future Proofing Land Management' the panel, focused on how First Nations-led solutions are changing the game.
