Our Alamora’s Diwali celebration at Tarneit on Saturday night was a great success, with more than 800 mums, dads, kids and grandparents enjoying a fantastic array of light, colour, dance, fireworks, music and food under our Feronia Park big top. People loved the henna tattoos and face painting, the fire twirling and floodlights, sand art and stage steam blasts, the Bollywood and belly dancing. Velvet sequinned drapes in striking purple, yellow and aquamarine, table-top candles by the score, stringed, coloured globes above proceedings and roaming lights overhead made for a visual spectacular. Fire-dancer Mariko welcomed arrivals with flashing streams of colour reflected by the remarkable traditional dress of hundreds of people. Topping the night out was a brilliant fireworks display lighting up the night in a breathtaking sky-show. #Diwali #community
