Untapped was proud to attend the Autism Employment Forum & Playbook Launch Event on December 4th at The University of Queensland Brisbane city campus, where the focus was on creating tangible pathways to employment for autistic individuals. Our Associate Director, Matija Squire , joined an inspiring community of advocates, thought leaders, and researchers dedicated to building more inclusive workplaces. 🎤 The event featured a powerful keynote by autistic researcher Dr Chris Edwards from the Aspect Research Centre for Autism Practice, on creating more inclusive workplaces. 📘 We also joined in celebrating the launch of the Autism Employment Playbook, led by Emily Russo, Ph.D, Miriam Moeller and Dana L. Ott - an invaluable guide designed to support organisations in creating opportunities for autistic individuals to gain and sustain employment. A shoutout also to David Swain from the Endeavour Foundation for their incredible work in this space and for investing in this research. Everyone deserves to do work they love and we’re one step closer to getting there. This event reinforced how impactful research and community collaboration are in shaping our current and future work at Untapped. By embracing diverse perspectives, lived experienc and evidence-based insights, we can continue to empower individuals and organisations to unlock their untapped potential. Together, we’re creating a future where neurodiversity is not just recognised, it’s celebrated. #InclusionMatters #Neurodiversity #AutismEmployment #UntappedPotential #AutismResearch #Community #Connection #FutureofWork #Neuroinclusion
