  • This is one of our personal favourite topics. What’s the neuroscience of leadership? And how would you define great leadership? That’s how Ed Ley described it when he joined us recently on the Ultimate Global Podcast:  ✅ Helping to get the best potential out of an individual ✅ Having the ability for a bunch of smart people work as a part of the team  ✅ Understanding how to lead yourself and then understanding how to lead others ✅ Helping other perform and grow well in a team 🎧 Listen to the complete episode with Ed where George and I tried to get deeper level insights on leadership. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #leadershipdevelopment

  • 💡 One of the best passion projects that George and Saurabh have worked on is the Ultimate Global Podcast. After interviewing around 130+ passionate folks from different walks of life, these are some of our top learnings: ✅ Everyone has got such a unique story and there is always so much that you can learn and pick up from different stories out there, and then apply in your own life. ✅ Building your personal brand: One of the best ways for you to discuss different thought-provoking topics to build your brand around that can be running a Podcast. ✅ Making fruitful relationships and networking with so many people out there ✅ Not everyone accepts the invite and never is that gonna happen. But that's the same phenomenon with everything in life. Not everyone will like you for everything you do. You always need to find your right fit/ audience. ✅ Staying consistent is always the key to success. 👉 In the recent episode, Anne-Marie Elias joined us, who talked about having an Advocacy Body for startups so the Govt can hear their voices. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess

  • 💡 We can't agree more with Anne-Marie that innovation and creativity don't come from working in silos. You need to be a part of an active and engaged community where everyone is sharing their ideas and growing together. According to Anne, we still have some work to do when it comes to nurturing good ideas. Everyone is still working in silos and we cannot solve problems in silos. There can be several benefits of working together: 💚 You share ideas with each other. 💚 You keep on making everyone better in the team. 💚 You network and build strong relationships in the same community. That's why industry needs to work better with the Universities, Government and entrepreneurs. And that will ultimately direct our energy in the right direction towards solving the top community problems. Anne goes a step further and highlights the importance of coopetition where the competitors need to collaborate. George and Saurabh spent some great time discussing on the topic of "Evolving Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Australian Landscape". #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #humansuccess #personaldevelopment #LinkedInNewsAustralia

  • Overthinking can be a big hurdle for a lot of us to get rid of. Here’re a few steps you can take to get rid of that: ✅ Write down the things I’m overthinking in the moment. ✅ Recognise the triggers—events or situations at work and in life that tend to set off overthinking. ✅ Focus on what’s within my control. Am I doing all I can in these areas? ✅ Acknowledge when I’m stressing over things outside my control. This approach helps me map out overthinking patterns, which is invaluable for coaching my mind to shift perspective. Sometimes, mind mapping can make all the difference in reframing our thoughts! 😅 Recently, Miriam Wood shared on the Ultimate Global Podcast the power of identifying mental health triggers. Her insights align so well with this practice of mapping triggers. 👉 Tune in to our conversation if you're interested in managing thoughts and emotions with intention. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess

  • 💡 What are the top traits of effective leaders? What skills do you currently have and what skills do you need to learn further in order to lead teams effectively? 1️⃣ Self-Awareness: We should be able to lead ourselves before we think of leading others. Do you know who you are? What are you passionate to do in life? What kind of projects drain you off? Do you take care of your physical and mental health? Are you in control of your emotions and thoughts? Investment in our personal growth and development is one of the biggest investments in life. 2️⃣ Trust: The foundation of a high performing team is trust. If a team doesn't trust each other, they will break up faster than ever. They are not gonna have a healthy debate and discussion. You will find it way harder to setup common goals and objectives. 3️⃣ Character & Confidence: Are you somebody I can form a healthy and friendly relationship with? Are you somebody I can trust on? 4️⃣ Competence: Are you competent enough to lead teams? Have you showcased results in your role? What would you love to/ not love to emulate/not emulate from your leader? We had a great discussion around leadership with Josh Gratsch on the Ultimate Global Podcast very recently. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess #LinkedInNewsAustralia

🤔 How often do you feel ashamed/ embarrassed/ scared as a man to talk about your mental health and emotions? Let’s get rid of this stigma now. Give this episode a listen - a must watch for everyone out there. 🙌 The ability for men to open up about themselves and talk about something they are going through might depend on different factors such as their nationality, culture or their upbringing. Both men and women go through different mental health issues. But the way they show up is very different. 🧠 We talked a lot of about typical stereotypes in this episode that men are often taught or believed to become since childhood: 🔎 You’re a man. You need to be strong. 🔎 Don’t be a girl. Stop crying. 🔎 Be strong. You need to toughen up. 🔎 Mate, I think you are just coming out with your feminine side. 🔎 Women are supposed to be emotional and men are supposed to be strong. 🔎 Women are supposed to cry and men are supposed to hide their tears. ❤️ That’s what and how the society lets things be treated as normal and expressing emotions just keeps on becoming tougher for men. George and Saurabh wanted to do this special episode with Miriam Wood who specialises in Men’s Mental Health. She did an exceptional job in covering all aspects around Men & Mental Health. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess

  • 💡 For the first time, we have got 5 different generations working together at the same time in the workplace. The big question is: "What really drives and motivates each of those generations to work every day? How different are their values and purpose to one another?" What are the 4 things we need to think about as a part of "Net Better Off" to retain and keep employees motivated for a long time? These are also the 4 things that GenZ is most vocal about. ✅ Making sure that they are healthy and are doing well. ✅ Ensuring that they feel connected with a strong sense of purpose and belonging. ✅ Making sure that they have a purpose to work in the organisation. ✅ Ensuring that they have got the marketable skills making them ready for their career progression in the organisation. Listen to the entire episode to get an idea on what the new model of Human Success actually means for your business. 💬 Paul Scott and Saurabh Kaura got a chance to chat with Nina Elisabeth Carøe 🙌 from Zensai to talk more about that on the Ultimate Global Podcast. The link to the complete episode is in the Comments section below. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess

  • 💡 Employees will stick with any organization when they can see themselves succeeding there. That's what defines Human Success. What do employees look for in organizations today? 🧡 Flexible and hybrid working environment: People would often run away from organizations that would not offer that. 🧡 No micromanagement: Employees would love to work at a place where the company is building a strong culture of trust and no micromanagement. 🧡 Employees want to see ways of getting upskilled in the organisation so they can learn and grow daily. 🧡 They want to see a clear personalised career pathway and succession planning for them. 🤝 We were recently joined by Nina Elisabeth Carøe 🙌 from Zensai on the Ultimate Global Podcast along with Paul Scott to talk about the new concept of Human Success that the company is trying to embark on. A lot of feel disengaged at work and can't see their success due to several reasons: 1️⃣ Basic stuff such as base pay, annual leave, extra benefits - increasing cost of living has got a lot to do with that as well with people saving less in a tough economy out there. 2️⃣ Lack of flexibility at workplaces: Some workplaces which are still living in the past and not offering flexibility to work from anywhere contribute towards the biggest reason for disengagement at workplaces. ✅ Work from anywhere ✅ Work from the office/ beach/ home/ library/ cafe ✅ Flexibility around work routines and timetables 3️⃣ Not feeling aligned with the company's vision: This would often happen due to different reasons: lack of proper training and a possible disconnect between leadership and employees. 4️⃣ A clear lack of communication between the managers and employees. That's what is often the reason for Quiet Quitting in GenZ and millenials. How do you tackle that? ➡ In our organisation, we do Weekly Check-ins every Friday afternoon where you can talk more about your week. And that gets directly fed to your Manager. I just need to answer 4 questions: ✅ What have you achieved this week? ✅ Have you experienced any blockers or issues this week? ✅ Have any colleagues done a great job this week? ✅ How are you feeling this week? Add some context. 5️⃣ People often can't see what sort of career pathways there are for them while moving forward in the same company. And that's a big WHY for people remaining in the same organisation for years. If you don't define personalised career pathways, people would start looking out at something else. 6️⃣ Their achievements and efforts are not recognised and talked about. Such a relevant episode for everyone out there! Do you agree on this? What else would you look for in an organization to see yourself successful there? #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess

  • Catherine’s story of being resourceful as a founder bootstrapping is so inspiring for other founders out there. She broke it down into the following steps: 🧡 When she pitched her idea to 2 of her friends: She found 2 co-founders - one specialising in B2B Tech Sales and the other one specialising in Product Design. 🧡 When she approached University of Sydney with the idea, they suggested her to apply at the Incubator Pre-Accelerator Program. That’s what I would call Luck + Timing + Capitalising at the right opportunity. And she learnt the art of simply ask questions even if you don’t know anything at that stage. 🧡 During the Pre-Accelerator Program, they must have done around 100 customer interviews and found out answers to: who’s the customer base, how do we solve this problem and much more. 🧡 During this time, she heard a lot of Podcasts and got advise/ tips from different mentors. And that's so important to do, especially at the initial few stages of building up your idea. 🧡 She is based out of Fishburners and so she has also made sure to fully utilise the resources there: from talking to industry mentors, business advisors and much more; to utilising the vibrant space there and attending so many great networking events there. #everystorymatters #learnwithsaurabh #personaldevelopment #humansuccess
