Two year old Creed was surrendered to us back in October after his family was no longer able to look after him. Creed is the sweetest boy who has made everyone here at the Home fall in love with him and it’s easy to see why. Creed has mild hip dysplasia which means he has slightly weakened hind legs, but not to worry - that doesn’t stop him from living his best life and our team can chat to you more about that at our shelter. Creed is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet, he loves his humans and would spend every second with you if he could! Creed is looking for a forever home where he’s the only dog, he would also do well in a home with primary school aged kids too. If you think this handsome boy is your perfect match please come in and meet him at our North Melbourne shelter today. #TheLostDogsHome ID: 1140034 Microchip: 953010006189001 Source number: BR100738

The Home relies on public support to provide our Australia-wide services and programs, these include; National Pet Register, The Lost Cats’ Home, shelter operations, adoptions and responsible pet ownership education. Our expertise also extends to veterinary and animal management services. All of our functions are governed by a quality management system – an industry first in Australia. The Lost Dogs’ Home is one of the country’s largest animal welfare organisations, caring for more than 25,000 cats and dogs each year. We pride ourselves on employing qualified individuals who demonstrate a strong personal connection to animals, the community and the cause.

A few weeks ago we introduced you to Daffodil and her puppies who were looking for a foster home, and now they’re all grown up and looking for their forever families. Full of puppy energy and puppy kisses, these little ones are ready to run around and play with you all day before snoozing on the couch in the afternoon. These pups would all be happy to live in a home with other pets or younger kids - just remember, they all have a lot of growing to do! If you’ve been thinking of adopting head into our North Melbourne or Cranbourne shelters today to meet them. They’re all so excited to meet you (and give you lots of kisses!) #TheLostDogsHome

Update: Beignet has been adopted! Two year old Beignet was found on the streets alone and scared. It took some time for her to trust our team but with a lot of love, care and patience she finally began to show us her sweet personality. Beignet has been in our care for 113 days, and after spending some time in her foster home she’s ready to find her forever home. Beignet loves her cuddles and her treats but can also be a super independent kitty who likes to have her own space. 113 days is too long to be without a home, so if you think you can give this sweetheart the forever home she’s been looking for please head into our North Melbourne shelter to meet her today! A few weeks ago we introduced you to Georgie Porgie and we’re delighted to let you know he’s found his forever home! Georgie’s new mum Simone tells us that he settling in beautifully, he’s been playing with his toys and taking lots of naps! Simone says that when they first got home “he jumped straight out of the car and went inside, he knew this was his home.” “He’s perfect for us”, Simone says. We’re so happy for Simone and Georgie and wish them the best life ever. #TheLostDogsHome

UPDATE: Oscar has been adopted! One year old Oscar was surrendered to the Home when his family weren’t able to look after him anymore. He was nervous and unsure of where he was but with some patience, love and care Oscar learnt that he was safe with us and began to show us his goofy personality. Oscar is a big boy who loves to run around in the yard with all of his favourite toys, he’s also a big fan of cuddles and loves to take a nap right next to you. Oscar may be able to live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet, due to his size we recommend he live with adults only. If you think you can give Oscar the forever home he’s been dreaming about, please head into our North Melbourne shelter during opening hours for a meet and greet! #TheLostDogsHome ID: 1141304 Microchip: 941000027946505 Source number: BR100738
