𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 – 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁    Having just moved in to our brand new, state-of-the-art facilities, we are seeking a Sports Physiologist (PO1) who will support the SASI Performance Services team to deliver world-class technical expertise in sports physiology services to SASI coaches and athletes. The role is responsible for establishing physiology service plan priorities and initiatives, implementing and interpreting field and laboratory testing, applying specialist skills to improve elite athlete development, and effective communication and dissemination of information to optimise performance outcomes. This position will establish and lead a team of up to five coaches and performance support professionals with the collective goal of recruiting and developing talented South Australian para-sport athletes. The outcome will be an increase in the number of categorised para-athletes in South Australia to enable greater representation and medal success at the LA 2028, Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games and beyond. A key priority of the role is leadership and management of the team to enable effective: • Talent identification and talent transfer initiatives. • Sport selection for eligible athletes. • Para-sport pathway identification in South Australia, para-sport classification. • Athlete development. • Performance support delivery. • Health, wellbeing and risk mitigation within the sport environment. • Inclusion of para-sports and para-athletes within SASI and partner organisations.
