Australia's Best Value Landlord Insurance

About us

SGUA is an underwriting agent licensed by ASIC under the Financial Services Reform Act (licence no 236663). An underwriting agency acts like a contract insurer and manages the risk acceptance and claims functions of insurance in the same way that an insurance company does. Underwriting agencies and insurance brokers are different entities and operate under different sorts of licences. SGUA specialises in insurance products related to full time rental properties and short term holiday homes/ units. Our aim is to fill niches in the market rather than offer products freely available elsewhere. Our products include: - Landlord Property Protection (for full-time rental properties) - Holiday Property Protection (for short term rentals or holiday owned properties) We manage all our own claims and pride ourselves on excellent customer service.

In today’s tech-driven world, lithium-ion batteries power nearly everything—from smartphones and laptops to electric vehicles and power tools. But they come with significant risks that you may not be aware of. These include: ⚠️ Fire & Explosion Risk: When damaged or improperly charged, lithium batteries can overheat, rupture, or even explode. These incidents can lead to serious fires, causing property damage and, in some cases, personal injury. ⚠️Overcharging: Overcharging or using faulty chargers can compromise the battery’s safety, causing it to overheat or become unstable. Always use the recommended charging equipment and avoid leaving devices plugged in overnight. ⚠️Improper Disposal: Disposing of lithium batteries in the trash can result in hazardous chemical leaks, which can pollute our environment and harm wildlife. Proper recycling is essential for reducing these risks. ⚠️Manufacturing Defects: In some cases, defective batteries (often stemming from poor manufacturing processes) can be more prone to malfunction. Always look out for recalls or safety notices related to your devices. Make sure to take extra care in the lead up to silly season to avoid these risks! #SGUA
