  • The apple doesn't fall far from the tree - or does it? Having started her career in hospitality in following her professional chef father's footsteps, Ashleigh has since found herself managing Scania's New Vehicle Prep workshop just 14 months into her career at Scania. Management has come naturally to Ash and she's been able to find ways to bring her love of trucks and food together in the one place at Scania, often sharing her baked goodies with fellow team members. In addition to her love for baking, Ash enjoys watching the decisions she's making turn into growth and efficiencies for her team members, business unit and her own career advancement. We're delighted to have Ash leading our NVP workshop and have no doubt she will continue to make strides within the Scania family. Join the Scania family: https://lnkd.in/gKHCTaw9

  • From Scania's Repair and Maintenance plans to 24-Hour Roadside Assistance, there's always a step-by-step process that Rick Steadman and his team at Harper Jack Haulage follow to ensure fleet uptime and compliance with roadworthiness. Fully utilizing Scania's products and services has led to significant efficiencies for Rick's business, especially when it came to integrating a new acquisition's assets not on R&M plans, into his existing fully maintained fleet. • A milestone for Scania Bus and Coach in Australia was marked with the delivery of the 100th Hybrid-electric bus to route operator Kinetic, in Victoria. The delivery underlines the success of our emissions reducing powertrain in the transition towards a sustainable transport future, especially with its compatibility to run on biodiesel, reducing emissions by a significant 80-90%. Hybrid-electric buses, compatible with bio diesel, are an instantaneous and significant step towards a cleaner and greener environment for operators today. • Transport is one of the world's major contributors to CO2 emissions and also impacts air pollution, traffic, congestions, and road accidents. A sustainable transport system is needed: one that retains the benefits of transport and makes it accessible to more people, while reducing the negative impacts. On World Sustainable Transport Day, we're proud to reaffirm our commitment to sustainable and equitable travel.   Read more about how we're working towards a sustainable transport system here: https://lnkd.in/gErizAYW   #WorldSustainableTransportDay #Sustainability
