Golf's new live dashboard is assisting golf clubs to quantify the many benefits they contribute to their local communities. By entering a simple selection of club data, the dashboard generates the club's economic, social and environmental benefits. These reports will support decisions on operating improvements, participation programs and venue development, and can be used for board reports, grants applications, council submissions and general advocacy. Last week, the PGA in conjunction with the R&A delivered cohort 1 of the new R&A Development and High Performance Program. 18 delegates representing 6 federations across southeast Asia undertook 4 days of face-to-face training in Melbourne. The program has been designed to provide employees of National Golf Federations in the Asia-Pacific region working in the areas of Junior & Games Development and High Performance with the knowledge, skills and competencies to grow and develop golf in their region. The PGA are proud to assist the development of golf globally and look forward to the next installations of this program in 2025.

Through this campaign, we will continue to elevate the conversation around our members and the game we all love!

For first time this weekend two days of one of our non-major tournaments on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia will be broadcast into Asia. The Queensland PGA will be available to watch in Singapore via Starhub Singapore and Malaysia on Astro Malaysia on Saturday and Sunday. It’s a great result for our Tour and our partners as we continue the expansion of our domestic broadcast product from Australia and New Zealand into Asia.

In a new offering for the golf industry, the PGA Institute are launching its new Workforce Development Solution. The program, which comprises a comprehensive suite of programs, services, and resources offered by the PGA Institute and PGA of Australia, has been designed to meet the learning and development needs of golf clubs, facilities, places to play, and businesses within the industry. The 2024 Golf Summit - presented by the PGA of Australia and Golf Australia - successfully brought together over 450 delegates across two days. The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share invaluable insights and best practices, and continue shaping the future of golf. The fifth pillar of the Australian Golf Strategy, "Working Together," was exemplified throughout the event. It was a great space to foster new connections and conversations in the industry, with the sessions from our 23 expert speakers from around the globe.

We were delighted to have rugby league legend Billy Slater as our keynote speaker to kick off the 2024 Golf Summit! With nearly 450 attendees, Billy’s insights and passion for excellence inspired us all, reminding us of the importance of teamwork and dedication in any field. It was a great opportunity to connect, share ideas, and envision the exciting possibilities ahead for golf.
