Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) has been detected in mosquitoes recently near Griffith. Associate Professor Cameron Webb has important information to share. Please take measures to protect yourself and your family from mosquito bites this summer. You can protect yourself from JEV by getting the JEV vaccine, available to at-risk groups and people living or working in any of the 55 Local Government Areas (LGAs) identified as being at increased risk of JEV.
