Leaders in Technology for Education: Music | Audio | Video | Lighting | Acoustics

About us

Music EDnet was established in Adelaide in April 1991. Our focus has always been on education and the creative use of technology, with the major emphasis on music and the performing arts. In the early years we quickly established links with the SA Technology School of the Future, the Dept of Education (SA) and many schools, TAFEs and Universities... to become the leading supplier of music technology and support services in SA. In 2003 Music EDnet began working with schools in other states and, from 2016, schools in New Zealand. Music EDnet now focuses on the education sector throughout Australia and New Zealand, regularly visiting schools, universities and TAFE colleges and working closely with teachers and students. With current trends in technology across the arts, music, audio, video, animation, multimedia and ICT continue to converge in education and Music EDnet has it all covered. This makes Music EDnet a most convenient and valuable resource for teachers and students across our region of the world.

Brilliant 1st Day at the The Association for Music in International Schools annual conference at Saigon South International School! Our own Keith Huxtable delivered a great session on the vast possibilities that technology enables in a school environment. Another highlight was Samuel Wright and Chris Koelma's session "Music Tech Pathways". Hot off the press is Samuels new book by the same name. Available here - https://lnkd.in/gYxFAXDb If you are attending the conference, be sure to drop by our stand in the Cafe and sign up for some fantastic prizes from Soundtrap, Ableton and FLAT for Education (Tutteo)!

It is always cool to have recognition for the hard work. So, we are really happy to have 'OGenPlus' shortlisted in Outstanding Education Resource Award with Music & Drama Education Expo Award with MusicFirst. The satisfaction comes from music teacher, Sharon Campbell from Dulwich Hamlet Junior School in South East London, who championed us. Her dedication and enthusiasm to enabling her students to express themselves through song-writing and using technology is much admired. www.ogenplus.online #studentengagement #musiceducation #musicteacher #education #educationmatters #middleschool #highschool #musicedu #musicmatters #musiclessons #musicschool #music #21stcenturylearning #elementaryteacher #elementaryeducation #primaryschool #musictechnology

It was great to be involved in delivering this facilities upgrade at Valley View Secondary School! It was an opportunity to share our expertise in AV integration for educational performing arts spaces, and we're looking forward to working closely with VVSS again soon.

Valley View Secondary School ☀️ Last week, we visited Valley View Secondary School, where Principal, Yvette Swaalf, was able to show us around their new building. This new build has allowed them to have a new performing arts center, new library and admin spaces as well as 5 new classrooms! This is a fantastic achievement for the school and open new opportunities for the students!

  • The sun has set on DayTime for 2024; though not before our attendees had the chance to glean a wealth of approaches, tips, and technical understanding from our bevy of seasoned presenters! Across a full day of sessions, hosted in Wellington, NZ and Adelaide, SA (not to mention a number of our attendees who joined us virtually from around the world!), teachers came together to be inspired, and to advance the teaching of Music Education across their classrooms. Special thanks to all of our presenters, all of the educators who attended, and of course our sponsors who offered door-prizes across the two locations, including offerings from Casio, CMI Music & Audio, Link Audio and Tutteo. We are also fortunate to be supported by Soundtrap and Industri Education.

Meet another of your DayTime 2024 presenters! With just two days to go, we're looking forward to hearing from incredible presenters like Lyndel Hoy, who'll be sharing about approaches for collaborative podcasting in the classroom! Lyndel has over 24 years of teaching experience in Victoria, and has a world of expertise when it comes to digital tech in the classroom. Collaborative podcasting projects encourage teamwork, as students work together to plan, record, and edit episodes. It fosters their communication skills, their critical thinking, research, creativity, presentation, and digital literacy, all while building self-confidence.
