"As a financial adviser with over 15 years of experience, I’ve witnessed the financial advice profession undergo profound and necessary changes. These reforms, while challenging, were instrumental in raising the industry to a professional standard that inspires trust and delivers better client outcomes. However, the government’s constant tinkering with education and regulatory requirements risks undoing this progress and returning us to a system that prioritises price over quality – at the expense of clients." Kurt Purkiss highlights these risks here: https://lnkd.in/guCRGBye #lambournepartners #financialadvice #professionalstandards

Managing your cash flow over the next six months (December to May) becomes increasingly important as your business will encounter eleven public holidays (in NSW), Christmas and Easter closures, school holidays, employees on annual leave and multiple tax deadlines that will occur within quick succession of each other. These events may also impact your clients and their ability to pay you on time, so thinking ahead to estimate and anticipate what may impact your cash inflows over the next six months will help you to prepare for how you can manage your cash outflows, such as wages, superannuation, taxes, PAYG Instalments, loan payments, credit card payments, and supplier payments. Here are Gemma Williams' recommended tools to assist in managing your cash flow: https://lnkd.in/gzUJSFS7 #lambournepartners #businessadvisory #cashflowmanagement

The NDIS is highly regulated, and providers must meet strict compliance requirements. These obligations are designed to protect participants and ensure they receive the care and services they are entitled to. However, for NDIS businesses, failing to align your business processes to these regulations can lead to undesired consequences, including loss of revenue, sanctions, or even the revocation of your NDIS registration. Here Ben Wilson points out the key areas in which it is critical to have thorough, compliant and well-documented processes: https://lnkd.in/g-WNGB_F #lambournepartners #ndisbusiness #ndiscompliance

Silica dust exposure has emerged as a significant health risk in several industries, with potentially life-altering consequences for those affected. For those diagnosed with silicosis or other silica-related diseases, the financial strain can be significant. While no financial settlement can reverse the health effects, personal injury compensation may help alleviate some of the burden. Here Sheree King explains how those affected may have the opportunity to maximise the financial benefits of their settlement using superannuation contributions: https://lnkd.in/gpBxJM2K #lambournepartners #silicadust #superannuation

Today we're celebrating 40 years of Lambourne Partners! On 10 September 1984, Lambourne Partners as we know it today, with Stephen Lambourne coming on board, commenced operations from a small office located at The Junction. Here we are now, located in a heritage restored office in Hamilton, with 70 employees spread across Business Services and Tax, Financial Planning, Finance Broking, Audit, Bookkeeping, and Business Consulting. We are very proud to reach this milestone, and even prouder of the thousands of clients we have helped over the years, with many of our original clients from 1984 still clients of Lambourne Partners today. We’re equally proud of the hundreds of employees that have helped us meet the needs of our clients over this period. We’d like to thank all our valued clients and employees for their contribution to Lambourne Partners, and our associates, supporters, and friends in the local business community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you, so thank you. We’re also proud of the community that we live in. Newcastle and the Hunter Valley is a great place to live, and we’re proud to continue to offer our support to all the organisations that do fantastic work in our community. For a walk down memory lane, we've shared some of the memories of Lambourne Partners, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, and other significant events that impacted all of us over the last 40 years on our website here: https://lnkd.in/gR47JyY8 Thank you.
