Soil health is crucial for every living creature. Changes in cultivation practices, climate change, and urban development have a significant effect on biodiversity. This has led to the disappearance of some species and the introduction of invasive ones. While construction projects can potentially harm soil integrity, in the past decade the mindset has significantly shifted towards greener, more sustainable development. Current practices now prioritise environmental responsibility to mitigate the risks associated with land disturbance. Our Dura-Base mats have helped preserve the land on numerous Australian projects. To learn more about our environmentally friendly solution and how mats assisted with soil preservation, contact our team. Cheers to healthy soils! #WorldSoilDay #SoilConservation #Sustainability #Construction #Infrastructure #Land #Landmanagement

With many power poles coming to the end of their service life across the network, as well as changing industry standards, several assets nationwide are required to be upgraded. The project team, working in the suburban area of the Western Downs Region, wanted to complete the power pole upgrade project as quickly as possible, with close to no disruption to the community. When it came to choosing how to access the park area, the project team chose the most environmentally and community-friendly option to grant 800m2 of temporary road and work pads – our Dura-Base mats. If they had gone with the traditional method of using crushed rock for access, it would have meant several extra weeks spent on site - for material delivery, removal, and restoration, as a result, causing more construction traffic, noise, and dust in residential streets. Our mats also helped safeguard the roots of existing green infrastructure, supporting the preservation of valuable green assets. Check out our latest video to learn more about Dura-Base mats in suburban areas. #greeninfrastructure #energy #energyprojects #construction #infrastructure #sustainability #innovation #powerstringing #transmission #energytransition #queensland #westerndowns #utilities

Biosecurity is a critical concern that's been gaining greater attention and awareness across multiple industries, as construction and infrastructure projects transition towards sustainable and responsible development, focusing on reduced environmental and social impacts for landholders and local communities. For farmers, particularly those hosting transmission and energy generation infrastructure on their land, this topic hits even closer to home, as some of them are still recovering from traumatic experiences of the past. As a provider of ground access solutions, we understand the value of soil preservation, and were happy to be a part of the discussion and to assist where we can. Learn more about biosecurity best practices in this article: https://lnkd.in/gt58z3-d We’d like to extend our gratitude to: ecogeneration for facilitating this important discussion Belinda Callanan for sharing expert insights on biosecurity practices Lee Kingma for sharing valuable experiences as a project host The Energy Charter, Sabiene Heindl and Karin Stark for fostering collaboration between landholders and energy projects. #biosecurity #energy #energyprojects #landmanagment #land #biodiversity #soil #transmission #renewableenergy #energytransition #solar #windfarm #bess

This video captures just a small section of the North East Link, Bulleen Road upgrade. In a quick 1 km drive, we spotted 5 construction site exits clearly visible from the road that use FODS rumble mats to prevent mud, rocks, and other debris from tracking onto public roads. What makes FODS mats ideal for urban projects is that they don’t require any ground preparation or digging, hence eliminating risks of damaging any buried services. Many major projects in Victoria have reported that after installing FODS mats, they decreased the number of street sweeper runs and saved money on water usage. Have you spotted any FODS mats out and about? Let us know in the comments. #Construction #Roads #RoadUpgrades #Infrastructure #Sustainability #MajorProjects #Victoria #Australia #SustainableInfrastructure #CivilEngineering

FODS Spotted in the Wild. As you drive down Bulleen Road, taking in the grandeur of the North-East Link Project, keep an eye out for a splash of bright yellow - our FODS mats are keeping the roads clean. Steadily FODS mats have been winning over construction sites: they are easy to install and move, simple to clean and are highly effective on removing construction dirt from tyres. On top of those pros, they are also a sustainable solution! How many FODS-equipped site exits can you spot from the road? Stay tuned for our next video to find out! #construction #infrastructure #sustainability #majorprojects #Australia #sustainableinfrastructure #civilengineering

Some people were born to do their job. The stars aligned for our team to have not just one, but 3 Birthday Celebrants – which makes roughly 15% of our team being born on the same day! Joshua Clark and the first-ever Dura-Base mat arrived just several hours apart, not yet aware of the impact they’d make on how the industry views ground protection. Meanwhile, a two-year-old Daichi Kimoto was busy creating safe working platforms out of Lego blocks for his toy machinery, laying the foundation for his stellar career at JWA! Happy Birthday to our wonderful team members, and of course, to the most durable and versatile mat – Dura-Base! #culture #birthday #teamculture #construction #sustainability
