We showcased eight NEW products recently launched with Woolworths. The new 1.5 kilogram value packs are available nationally across Australia and include four buttermilk varieties, dino nuggets, traditional nuggets, and spicy and plain tenders; great bulk packs for holiday entertaining! This is a fantastic example of innovation being delivered cross-functionally by our teams across product development, consumer shopping insights, sales and marketing, commercial, planning and operations. Inghams has today announced that current Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Andrew Reeves will retire from his full-time executive role in mid-2025, and the Board has endorsed its current Chief Executive of its New Zealand business, Edward Alexander as his replacement following a comprehensive global search process that included internal candidates. Chair of Inghams, Helen Nash GAICD said: “After an extraordinary 40-year executive and Board career, we understand Andrew’s decision to retire from full-time executive life. Andrew will leave the business in a sound operating and financial position, with solid underlying fundamentals and positioned for future growth.” In announcing the appointment of Ed Alexander, Helen Nash said: “Under Ed’s leadership, the New Zealand business successfully navigated significant COVID-related operational challenges, with the business achieving remarkable results including materially improving underlying earnings and completing the strategic acquisitions of Bromley Park Hatcheries and Bostocks Organic to improve Inghams’ positioning within the market. “Ed is an established operational leader with extensive experience in the Company across sales, corporate development, strategy, integrated business planning and commercial optimisation makes him uniquely qualified to lead the business and will ensure an orderly leadership transition." Inghams was awarded 'Food For Now Supplier of the Year 2024' by independent retail supermarket group SPAR Australia Ltd at their awards night in Queensland, and for the second year in a row! We were also proud to be nominated for 'Deli Supplier of the Year' and 'Freezer Supplier of the Year'. This recognition reflects our growing partnership with SPAR and our commitment to expand Inghams' range of deliciously good food to be enjoyed by their customers across New South Wales and Queensland. At our AGM today, shareholders overwhelmingly voted to re-elect Non-Executive Director, Linda Bardo Nicholls AO to the Board of Directors. We also reaffirmed our FY24 highlights including record financial results, acquisition of the previously leased primary processing plant in Bolivar, South Australia; Bromley Park Hatchery; and New Zealand’s only organic chicken business, Bostock Brothers, which positions us to grow this niche high-value product in export markets and with new customers. Our Sustainability Leadership Roadmap continues to guide actions that make a positive difference in everything we do, which included the launch of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan to support greater opportunities for First Nations people to thrive in our business and in the community. Today is International Chicken Nugget Day and, naturally, we think you should celebrate with Inghams! Some fun facts about Inghams’ chicken nuggets: - This year, CHOICE magazine brought in the experts – kids! – to test out 17 supermarket chicken nugget brands. Their favourite: Ingham’s Chicken Breast Nuggets Original. Kids raved about their “unrivalled crunch factor”. Good thing they’re now available in our new 1.5kg value pack bags! - We’re one of the top favourites with adults too, who, in the same CHOICE taste-testing session, rated Ingham’s Free Range Chicken Breast Nuggets at number two with a rating of 70%. - Ingham’s nuggets come in dinosaur shapes, and in 1.5kg value pack bags, and we have Christmas turkey nuggets out now and in stores for a limited time, so get in quick! - Inghams produces more than 15 million chicken nuggets a week across Australia and New Zealand, thanks to our further processing teams at Lisarow, Thomastown, Edinburgh Parks, Cambridge and Auckland who produce our nuggets.
