Guten Rutsch is a traditional German phrase often used before the New Year, and it’s loosely translated to English as "Have a good slide into the New Year." While "Rutsch" literally means a "slide" or "slip," it is used in this context to wish someone a smooth and joyful transition into the upcoming year. It's more about wishing good luck, happiness, and a fresh start than anything related to ice or snow!
