#TestimonialTuesday "My father has dementia and circumstances suddenly changed where we were in urgent need of an aged care home for him. I was overwhelmed, suddenly thrust into the position of trying to find an aged care home, supporting my father with all his medical and legal affairs on top of looking after my own young family. It was a very stressful period trying to navigate the aged care process and applications and we were not having any luck finding the right home on our own. Luckily we were referred to Danielle Robertson and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. She takes the time to listen and understand my father's needs. Danielle is responsive in her communications and she was quick and efficient in lining up homes to tour. We were very specific about certain conditions and she was not deterred. Danielle was amazing in finding us a lovely home and my father has settled in very well. Thank you Danielle for all your help and guidance. I highly recommend Danielle and DR Care Solutions." See more testimonials: https://buff.ly/3LHZP9W #clienttestimonial #dementia #agedcare

#TestimonialTuesday "I sought out Danielle’s expertise as I was called in urgently to assist my 86-year-old aunt who had become depressed and unwell after the loss of her husband. She wanted to sleep all the time, had a severe loss of memory, was very unsteady on her feet, and was collapsing. I live in Sydney, and she is in Queensland. I worked from her home looking after her for 6 weeks. Exhausting. Although I know the financial aspects of Aged Care, I had not had to deal with the process of getting assessed and finding care. I was totally overwhelmed. Danielle was fabulous. She had all the knowledge and contacts and ability to organise everything that I had no idea about. I had already called the Aged Care Assessment Team and waited two weeks for an assessor. We finally received Aged Care codes for Respite, Homecare and Residential Care. With all the care required and trying to organise everything, I was totally exhausted. It took a month to even get someone to come to the house for respite. The impact on family carers is huge. My aunt was reluctant to go into residential care, although she realised she could no longer live alone. I love my aunt, but I couldn’t do this anymore and work full time. Danielle saved me. She called around residential care facilities, arranged all the visits and timeslots, and flew up to personally visit each residential care facility with myself and Aunty Pat. Could not have asked for more. I thought I could do the visits on my own, but I was wrong. There was too much to consider and take notes, as well as wheeling my aunt in the wheelchair. Danielle arranged all this within two weeks. She asked all the right questions about patient to carer ratios, the food, what was the favourite thing that staff members loved about their job. For us it was important that it did not feel like a hospital, it felt like her place and could be personalised, had plenty of light, activities, good quality food and was close to shops and facilities. Danielle even bought her compass with her to check what direction the room was facing. End result; we chose a lovely facility, and my aunt moved in under residential respite two weeks later. Danielle was a godsend. After Aunt Pat moved into care, she called Danielle personally and told her she was back to feeling and acting her old self: walking up town; has made good friends; is involved in the activities. I thought I was going to lose my aunt very soon if something didn’t change. Danielle gave us the miracle to give me my aunt back. Thank you, Danielle, from the bottom of my heart for all you do for us and so many people. I would be happy to recommend your service and guidance in any area of Aged Care. You think of everything. Forever grateful 😊 " - Reyna Harwood, Maroochydore See more testimonials: https://buff.ly/3LHZP9W #clienttestimonial
