It’s been an exciting period for our Clontarf Foundation partnership, with plenty of activity to round out the year! The Darwin Port team proudly attended nine Academy Award presentations and hosted three unforgettable Port Tours to celebrate the end-of-year trips. We were thrilled to welcome 28 students and 7 staff from two interstate Academies and one local Academy! The recently established Berri Academy in South Australia brought along their Year 7–11 students, who enjoyed time aboard our Pilot Boats. They were joined by Clontarf Alumni Apprentice Tommy Norris, making the visit especially meaningful 👨🔧 Five Victorian Academies were given a VIP tour of the Holland America Line cruise ship Westerdam 🛳️ It was an unforgettable tour for these Year 12’s, who gained an insight into cruising life, meeting an accomplished Chief Officer on the Bridge, and enjoying lunch on board. The group also delivered a great presentation showcasing their academies achievements. Closer to home, Nightcliff Middle School graduates braved the rain for a memorable visit that included a walk on the Pilot Boats and a man-overboard recovery demonstration 🌊 We wish every member of the Clontarf family the very best for their future endeavors and look forward to more incredible moments in the years to come!

  • We’re excited to announce our partnership with CODA - Centre of Decommissioning Australia, an independent organization at the forefront of building a world-class decommissioning industry for Australia. Decommissioning is becoming an increasingly important topic in Australia. It has been identified that more than $40.5 billion USD of necessary decommissioning work will need to be done on Australia’s offshore oil and gas infrastructure - a large proportion of which is located in our northern waters.   Through our engagement with CODA, we aim to: - Help develop a world-class decommissioning industry in the NT that services needs locally and internationally. - Support local workforce development and maximise opportunities in the decommission sector for Northern Territorians and  NT businesses. - Promote recycling and re-use of decommissioned infrastructure. - Foster sustainable and environmentally sensitive decommissioning outcomes.   This collaboration aligns with Darwin Port’s focus on environmental responsibility, operational excellence and providing high quality infrastructure to support economic growth.   By working together, we’re not just planning for today—we’re building capabilities for the future of Australia’s decommissioning industry.   Visit CODA's website to learn more about their incredible work 👇 https://lnkd.in/ghyyPHFy
