On December 6, 2024, we celebrated a significant milestone in our partnership with the University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City (UAH) by signing an Articulation Agreement that aligns UAH’s Degree of Architect with Curtin University’s Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science).
This agreement represents the culmination of nearly eight years of collaboration between Curtin School of Design and the Built Environment and UAH, focusing on student mobility initiatives. Since 2018, we have facilitated numerous outbound study tours and internships in Ho Chi Minh City, supported by the New Colombo Plan’s Mobility Program grants. Additionally, we welcomed UAH students to Curtin for an enriching study trip in June 2024.
The signing ceremony featured key representatives from UAH, including Rector Dr. Lê Văn Thương, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Dr. Phạm Phú Cường, and Director of the Institute of International Education Dr. Vũ Việt Anh. The agreement was executed by Dr. Lê Văn Thương and Prof Linley Lord, Associate DVC Global at Curtin University.
This Articulation Agreement is a pivotal step forward in our partnership. We look forward to welcoming UAH Architecture students to Curtin and further strengthening the educational and cultural ties between Vietnam and Australia.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated colleagues who have made this possible: Francesco Maria Mancini, Tanja Glusac, Vuk Radovic, Chris Mewburn, Natalie Beard, Lisa Lim, and Mina Cho. Your commitment and support have been invaluable in nurturing this relationship built on exchange, hospitality, respect, and trust.
