We wanted to thank all of our amazing Members, Local Businesses and Staff who donated. Your support will help SunnyKids provide these kids with gifts that truly brightened their Christmas Day and reminded them they’re not alone. We hope you're all doing well. In our commitment to maintaining a supportive environment, we want to take a moment to focus on something important: R U OK? Here’s how you can make a difference in someone’s day: 1) Ask R U OK?: A simple question can open doors to meaningful conversations. Reach out to friends, family, or colleagues and genuinely ask how they’re doing. 2) Listen: If someone shares their feelings with you, listen attentively without judgment. Sometimes, just being heard can be incredibly comforting. 3)Encourage Action: If the conversation reveals someone is struggling, encourage them to take steps towards support. This might include speaking to a professional, joining a support group, or simply finding ways to manage stress. 4) Check In: Follow up with the person later on. A follow-up shows that you care and are there for them, reinforcing their support network. At Coolum Surf Club, we value each member’s well-being. Let’s work together to create a community where everyone feels supported and heard. Remember, you don’t have to go through challenges alone. Take care and look out for each other.

Queensland’s surf life saving supporters clubs exist to support our surf clubs who save lives on Queensland’s beaches. They also contribute a huge $25 million dollars in cash and in-kind support directly to local community groups and organisations! 🌟 Coolum Surf Club's Community Benefit Fund Presentation 🌟 Today, Coolum Surf Club had the honour of presenting its Community Benefit Fund. We would like to extend a big thank you to Kelly Egan CEO of Clubs Queensland for attending and speaking at the event. We are thrilled to share that the Community Benefit Fund generously gave back a staggering $62,000 to our vibrant community, supporting eight deserving organisations. The recipients include: 👉 The Salvation Army Coolum 👉 St. Vincent de Paul Coolum 👉 Coolum HeARTs 👉 Quota Coolum 👉 Coolum SES 👉 Coolum Meals on Wheels 👉 Coolum and North Shore Coast Care 👉 Coolum Peregian RSL Each of these organisations plays a vital role in strengthening our community fabric, and we are so happy to be able to support such great groups and assist in empowering them to continue their invaluable work. Great Night for the Club at the Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence. Taking home the awards for Best Surf Life Saving Supporters Club and Special Achievement Award RSA. Also making the final three in Best Dining, RSG and Club of the Year Small categories. Couldn't do it without the dedication of our amazing team!

Thanks SunnyKids was lovely to be able to host the first P100 event for 2024

Coolum Surf Club is SUPER EXCITED to be donating $18,350 to the Clubs Queensland "Operation Clubs Care" initiative. This money was raised through membership donations to the Supporters Club, and will directly go to Queenslanders who have been affected by recent floods and cyclones. All funds will be delivered through the Salvation Army, GIVIT, Disaster Relief Australia, and St Vincents de Paul. We are very proud to be part of this amazing Clubs Queensland initiative.
