A big part of what makes a local club viable is the ongoing community support and engagement as well as safety. That is why, at Cabarita Beach Bowls and Sports Club, we have been proactive in implementing key health measures for our patrons, including the provision to practice safe social distancing measures in sections of the club, the installation of hand sanitiser dispensers and a raft of behind the scenes measures to ensure cleanliness. As an added service measure, we introduced meal home delivery to our members, doubling as a way of keeping in touch with our community's most vulnerable. Our staff have been well informed and are responding well to the added roles and responsibilities. While the pandemic maybe sparking global unrest and uncertainty, we believe doing our bit locally will encourage strong and meaningful connections and aid in "crossing the bridge".
