What an incredible start to the Women in Leadership Summit by Women Leaders Institute and in support of UN Women Australia ✨ Day 1 was filled with powerful insights from amazing speakers. It was fantastic to experience the summit's reach, with events held concurrently in 6 cities across Australia and New Zealand, and a live keynote and Q&A that connected us all. This week, I've been working on a coaching project in Western Australia, and these incredible sunsets have been a nightly highlight. ✨ Every evening (wherever I am in the world), I make it a ritual to pause, take a mindful moment and watch the sun dip below the horizon. It’s a moment for reflection where I ask myself: 🙏 What am I grateful for today? 💫 What was the highlight for the day? 🌱 What did I learn today? This week's reflections: 🙏 I'm incredibly grateful to do what I love, spending time with leaders, especially in the field and supporting their growth. 💫 I have a wonderful, supportive family who I miss dearly when I'm away. This week, we shared the sunsets together via FaceTime, which was amazing. 🌱 I always underestimate how the 2-hour time difference impacts my body and sleep. For future trips to the west coast, a better routine is a must! A question to ponder as you head into the weekend: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐧𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞? 🪫 Last weekend we escaped into the wilderness 🏕️ and I spent the day fishing 🎣 for bass with my son, an avid angler. These shy creatures demand stillness and quiet, forcing me to be completely present in the moment. Venturing off the beaten track, with no path to follow (except for the shedded snake skin! 🐍), heightened my awareness and brought me fully into the now. It was a great reminder of the importance of #disconnecting from the noise and reconnecting with nature and ourselves. And for those who love a bit of science, research shows that fishing has numerous benefits for both mental and physical #wellbeing, from reducing stress to boosting self-confidence. What a week - facilitating 2 workshops, launching a website and the IDG Summit 🚀 At the beginning of this year, my collaboration partner Alan Taylor invited me to join the 𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗔𝗣 team (formally, known as The Climate Coaches). For the past 10 months, we've poured our hearts and expertise into bringing the new brand to life and it's been an incredible journey collaborating with these amazing individuals across the globe 🌍 Our proprietary 𝗠𝗔𝗣 framework, grounded in research emphasizes the interconnectedness of personal growth and collective action. It's about empowering individuals and teams to create lasting change for our planet.
