About us
Banks Botanicals is for the explorer in all of us and for those with a bold sense of adventure in pursuit of their passions. We want to inspire people to go after what matters to them most despite Judgment and risk. We are an organic , Non Alcoholic Spirit made in the Yarra Valley (Healesville) using Australian botanicals - we are sugar free, vegan and gluten free. Our vision was to create a Non-alcoholic spirit that could hold its own when mixed as well as being sophisticated and confident enough to deliver a taste experience in step with alcoholic spirit varieties. Sophisticated and bold, Banks is non-apologetic. The unique blend of 5 ingredient, individually distilled to ensure that the flavour and essence of each botanical is captured in their purest form they are blended to deliver a unique, bold and sophisticated drinks. For us, it’s all about the flavour. We use mountain-fresh Yarra Valley water to combine the distinctive cinnamon notes of cassia with the fresh high notes of lemon myrtle and lime. Add to this the wattleseed, which brings a nutty, roasted taste, then the spice of the wild Tasmanian pepperberry and you have a strong, memorable finish that lingers long after the final sip.

A quick wrap from Fine Food Australia's 40th year show in Melbourne, 2-5 September 2024. The Australian Food Industry is back! The largest show for years, but an interesting mix of optimism and paring back on extravagant costs. The crowds were in force, looking for innovation, tech, and value. Take a quick zip around the grounds. Be interesting to hear your takes. Fine Food Australia Abdullah Ramay Brian Cohen

In the recent Mintel report into the ANZ Spirits and RTD category, 3 key trends in terms of growth for the category were highlighted: (1) permissability, (2) getting the flavour combinations right - use of subtle flavour combinations to say better for you and (3) the ability for spirits to offer the consumer afforable luxuary in tough economic climate. We are so thrilled that as part of this report the team @mintel called out our Banks Botanicals Non-Alcoholic Spirit as a best in class example in terms of our product design and packaging communication. They highlighted our approach to heroing our use of Australian Botanicals to tap into better for you and flavour, together with our strong provenance story based on Yarra Valley that in their example commincates quality to the consumer. It's nice to sometimes get unprompted feedback that you're on the right path!

Super pumped to be the only Australian non-alcoholic distillery awarded as a finalist for our Banks Herbarium by the judges this year. The Dan Murphy's Decoded Spirits awards sees expert judges within the Dans team blind taste test spirits across a range of categories including ZERO% spirits. This year the competition in the ZERO% spirits category was hot where the ZERO% spirits finalists seriously impressed the Dan's judges. The Judges comments about the finalist was that they packed all of the enjoyment without sacrificing an ounce of flavour, these ZERO% spirits are the ultimate addition to cocktails (not mocktails!) everyone can enjoy.
