Awesome Foundation Adelaide

Since 2014, Awesome Foundation Adelaide has given away $1000 a month to people doing something awesome. We think $100,000 of giving is cause for celebration, so we’re throwing a party! This is a special gathering for current and past Deans and Trustees (fancy words we use for organisers and donors) of the Adelaide chapter of the Awesome Foundation. It’s also a welcome back to any of the more than 100 people whose projects, dreams or basic requirements we have helped meet with our monthly gifts. And previous applicants. And other philanthropists. Everyone else is welcome. Yes, you too! Come along to meet the people who have enjoyed this monthly dose of goodwill and wholesomeness and delight in connections old and new. Also, if you have ever been curious about becoming a trustee, we may soon have a vacancy. Dress however you feel comfortable (go awesome if you fancy it), feel free to bring a friend and know that kids are welcome to join. The venue is fully accessible and generously provided by the brilliant people at The Wyatt Trust. The venue is close to public transport and there is plenty of on-street parking. Every month a gathering of grassroots philanthropists get together to decide which awesome project we'll fund. It is often a very difficult choice and our Awesome Foundation Adelaide April grant was a hard-fought contest. We were delighted to fund another community-minded person whose 'jobs cafe' initiative is providing hope and help for a range of people often disadvantaged in the employment market. Our $1000 will go towards some coffees to support one-on-one sessions with jobseekers as they begin or navigate their employment journey.
