Volunteer Opportunity: Laundry Assistant at Animal Aid Shelter, Keysborough Do you have a passion for animal welfare and a few spare hours a week? Animal Aid is seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist with laundry duties at our Keysborough shelter. This role is vital in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the animals in our care. Responsibilities: Sorting and washing animal bedding and towels Drying and folding laundry Maintaining a clean and organized laundry area Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Benefits: Make a tangible difference in the lives of animals in need. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of our canine residents while they await adoption. Responsibilities include: > Providing basic care to dogs, including feeding, cleaning, and exercise. > Assisting with kennel maintenance and hygiene. > Interacting with dogs to provide socialization and enrichment. Qualifications: > Prior experience handling dogs. > Ability to work independently and as part of a team. > Strong work ethic and commitment to animal welfare. > Availability for mandatory training on November 30th. Minimum commitment of 3 months, with availability one day per week.
