Allianz Retire+ is proud to have won the Money Magazine Australia ‘Best of the Best’ Award 2025 for Innovation - Retirement Income for our product, Allianz Guaranteed Income for Life (AGILE). Now in its 25th year, the Money Magazine Awards are an annual celebration of Australia’s top firms in the superannuation, managed funds, banking, broking, insurance, and investment manager industries. Rainmaker Group, Publisher of Money, utilises its proprietary data and research to guide the reviews and assessments for the much-coveted Best of the Best Awards. Allianz Retire+ has recognised the significant changes within the financial services industry, specifically the call for greater innovation in retirement income products following the Retirement Income Covenant in July 2022. AGILE was released with the aim of disrupting the market and offering a guaranteed lifetime income product that incorporates a unique combination of features previously unavailable in Australia such as protected growth, flexible access to savings, as well as a range of protected investment options that enable retirees to adjust their strategies as their needs change. Adrian Stewart said "This award crowns what has been a great year for accolades – following our inclusion in the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies list for 2024, curated by The Australian Financial Review and Cognizant.   "The Money Magazine Best of the Best Awards are highly coveted and are presented to the businesses that have pushed through traditional boundaries to stand out as innovators in their field. It recognises our commitment to pioneering solutions and setting new standards in our industry to ensure all Australians have access to a reliable income in retirement.” As we continue our journey of innovation, we remain steadfast in our mission to shape the future of financial services and deliver exceptional value to our clients. Manager - Group Retirement Solutions at Allianz Retire+

Today I had the privilege of sharing insights from our qualitative member research at the 32nd Colloquium on Pensions and Retirement Research.  For those who missed it, here are the 5 key take aways: 1. Retirees are heavily focused on protecting what they have built and growing it further where possible 2. They are looking for permission to spend, especially in the early, golden years of retirement 3. They see the value of an income stream to enhance their super and maximise retirement – the ‘icing on the cake’ 4. They want this income to be accessed through their super fund 5. Members are most receptive to product solutions in pre-retirement   Thanks to CEPAR for hosting a fantastic event and giving me the opportunity to present. #AllianzRetire+ #UNSW #CEPAR

Full house today at the Marriott Hotel in Adelaide where we had a great panel discussion for the Rhombus Advisory Elevate event. A big thank you to Peter Ornsby for hosting Andrew Lowe, Julian Place CFP® and myself discussing the value of longevity solutions in an adviser’s kitbag and the importance of putting them into your advice consideration set. We explored the broader conundrum of clients living longer and the challenges of doing what we’ve always done in the advice space. Account Based Pensions blended with lifetime income solutions can create significant positive impact on clients’ lives by giving them the confidence to spend and greater bandwidth to spend more without ever running out of money. Thanks again to Peter Ornsby, Darren Whereat, Emily Ubaldi and the Rhombus team for such a well run event.

  • Allianz Retire+ was delighted to participate in last week's #ASFAConference. The event was a fantastic opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about retirement and the future of superannuation in Australia. Lucy Foster contributed to an important panel discussion on bolstering member confidence in retirement with Giacomo Tarantolo Melanie Slade and Aaron Minney. Once you awaken members to the possibility of a confident retirement, you can’t switch that off. She shared valuable insights on the three anchors of a confident retirement. Maximising growth, maximising income and maximising age pension entitlements, delivered to members in plain English, as they engage with their funds. Lucy also shared the value that partners can bring to the table, including lived experience in retirement, support to build solutions and technology. Thanks to ASFA | The Voice of Super for another great conference and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and to support initiatives shaping Australia’s superannuation industry. At the CPAL PD event in Perth today. Justine Marquet is presenting on the role of lifetime income solutions in helping meet an adviser’s code of ethics obligations. For 30 years we have mainly relied on a best endeavours approach to manage the SMILE risks (sequencing, market, inflation, longevity and emotional risk) that clients experience in their retirement planning journey. That is being challenged by an increasing client life expectancy and a real fear of running out of money. Adapting to this changing landscape (the retirement income covenant is evidence of this) means we need to take the time to put newer ways of dealing with these risks into our advice consideration set. Lifetime income solutions offering flexibility, certainty of income and the ability to leave a legacy are helping you solve for these very real client fears. Allianz Retire+
